Surah Al Maida (5:64) – The Author of Quran has full grasp over previous scriptures

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنْفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنْهُمْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَا أَوْقَدُوا نَارًا لِلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ

And the Jews say: The hand of Allah is tied up! Their hands shall be shackled and they shall be cursed for what they say. Nay, both His hands are spread out, He expends as He pleases; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord will certainly make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; and We have put enmity and hatred among them till the day of resurrection; whenever they kindle a fire for war Allah puts it out, and they strive to make mischief in the land; and Allah does not love the mischief-makers.

The Author of Quran has full knowledge of the Bible

Bible says : And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (Genesis 2:2 )

Quran has also mentioned the creation of earth in several epochs, but it mentions six epochs and there is no mention of the seventh day rest, as the bible claims. Human mind has wrongly attributed rest to God. God doesn't require rest. He never sleeps and never dozes off (Surah Al Baqarah 2:255). This Ayat seems to be a response to the this wrong attribution to Allah in the bible. This forces a reader to ponder that :

Those who claim to be the followers have the bible, have themselves been unjust to the Book, and have made several changes to it, and have attributed such things to God which are ungodly. They couldn't understand the logic of the six-day creation when the week consists of seven days, so they appended a seventh day.
The author of the Quran possesses the knowledge of the previous scripture ; what they originally contained, and how people made changes in it.

This blog is based on my under process book. I plan to collect all the Ayaats of the Holy Quran with deal with scientific, historical and archaeological subjects. I am trying to provide explanation to those Ayaats in light of Previous commentaries (Tafaseer), established science, archaeological discoveries and Arabic lexicons.

Please do not copy-paste the material on the blog until my book is published insha'Allah. You are most welcome to send me your comments and suggestions. Do inform me if I've missed out some Ayat, or if I've gone wrong somewhere.

The project also includes those Ayaats that are brought up by non-muslims as unscientific, illogical or inhuman. It is intended to provide easily understandable, logical explanation to those Ayaats.

To participate in the project, just see the list below and see which of the work you can do efficiently and inform me. JazakAllah (May Allah give you reward for it).

Proof Reading : I want someone to read what I've written already on the subject. The person should check for grammatical errors, plus he should inform me if some portion requires elaboration or if some portion seems unscientific.
Listing the Ayaats: I've made a detailed excel file, containing the numbers of all the Ayaats that deal with science, archaeology and history. We can never discover the marvels of science completely. If someone could recheck the list for me, and tell me the Ayaats that I've missed out, that would be a big favour.
I have done very little as regards the Ayaats brought up by non muslims as illogical and inhuman. If someone could make an index of those Ayaats, that would be really helpful.
If anyone can find some botanist, medical specialist, geologist etc to recheck what I've written on those subjects, It'll make my work more authentic.
I've tried to consult tafaseer (commentaries) wherever possible, but I feel I need to include more excerpts form tafaseer. I am looking for someone good in Arabic language to help me out in that. Tafseer e Qurtabi and Tafseer e Tabari are a great asset for us on the subject but unfortunately they haven't been translated yet, so I am having difficulty in availing them fully.
There is great wisdom in Quranic orders related to economy. I have difficulty in explaining the economics related things.
These days people hardly 'read' articles, but people do go through well bulleted and formatted presentations. I need someone to make presentations based on the posts of this blog.
Spreading this blog on social networking sites and emails.

If you can help me out in any way please do contact. I am looking for corrections and suggestions from your side. A single person can never work on this never ending project. We need specialists from all fields, to sit down and ponder over the Quranic Ayaats, and educate the masses of its marvels.

Surah Al Fatiha (1:1) – Lord of the Worlds

الْحَمْدُ للّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds

Lord of the Worlds

Modern science has evolved a lot, but at few things it is still silent and surely there would be many secrets of this universe which will never become clear to us. No matter how much knowledge we gather there would be few mysteries that would always remain unsolved, few question will always remain unanswered. Allah explains this handicapped human knowledge in another Ayat, "They know the outward of this world's life, but of the hereafter they are absolutely heedless
(Surah Room 30:7)"[30-7]. One of these unsolved mysteries is the existence of 'aliens'. Is there any life outside the planet earth? Are there living beings outside the Milky Way? Universe is so vast that we can never say with surety that 'I've searched out the universe and I didn't find any aliens'. Many theories are coming up telling us of the 'high' chance of existence of planets outside the Milky Way with the 'identical' climatic and atmospheric conditions like our 'mother' planet.

Max Tugmark has delved into the theories of physics which are concerned with the parallel universes which are classified into four levels that can allow continuous variations. Following are the levels of the parallel universes:

The fist level:

worlds that are governed by the same physics and the constants of our world physics yet the development of its material might be different

The second level:

of different physics constants and time dimensions from that we have in our universe.

The third level:

every quantum may lead various copies.

The fourth level:

has it own different laws of physics.

In this Ayat the word
عَالَمِينَ is of great importance. We find various different explanations of this word but its marvels will never become totally evident to us. Most of the scholars say that by saying ,"Lord of the Worlds", Allah means the "Lord of the Worlds of all Living Beings"; like the World of Animals, World of Fishes, World of Angels, World of Spirits etc. عَالَمِينَ is the plural of the word عالَم which means a thing from which knowledge of something is learnt. As the knowledge of God is learnt through the universe hence the universe is called عالم . عالم can also refer to an age (era), it has been used in this meaning in the Holy Quran in Surah Al Baqarah 2:47.

Another explanation given of the word 'Worlds' is that perhaps it is pointing to the existing of other worlds identical to ours with the existence of life. There are other Ayaats of the Holy Quran which clearly indicate the existence of life outside the planet earth and the word used is such that we cannot relate it to angels. There are many scholars who have proved the existence of 'Aliens' from those Ayaats.

And one of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and what He has spread forth in 'both of them' of living beings; and when He pleases He is all-powerful to gather them together
(Surah Shura 42:29)

Alien-threat might be used by the secret societies who control the world as a fake threat, forcing the world to unite under the umbrella of new world order. No wonder Ronald Reagan in his speech once said, " I am amazed, how dramatically the world would change if we were facing an alien threat from outside". People who have worked for the secret societies in the past, now admit that they planned to use alien and meteor threats in the future, for which they are preparing the masses through movies, cartoons which frequently show aliens. There is a long list of Hollywood movies on aliens and meteors. When we talk of aliens, we talk of them as a Sign of God, and not as armed warriors, secretly planning to take over the world. That is only a part of fiction and it should remain fiction. What we prove from Quran is that there might be some extra-terrestrial life of some sort (not necessarily like ours) outside the earth.

Aliens are extra-terrestrial beings, not extra dimensional. The word عالمين might also be referring to those extra-dimensional worlds. Jinns are a species of another dimension, angels have their own dimension, and our dimension is different and Allah is the creator of all these dimension and he alone controls and comprehends all dimension fully. We, bound in our own dimension can never fully understand species of other dimensions.

Another important question that remains is that whether we'll ever be able to discover life in other parts of the universe or not, a life in a dimension comprehendible for us. For the details of that see : Surah Fussilat 41:53.

In short Allah is the lord of all times, all worlds, all discovered and undiscovered species, beings of all dimensions, all living and non living things etc.

Surah At Tawbah (9:118) – Stress, a result of not abiding by religion

وَعَلَى الثَّلاَثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُواْ حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّواْ أَن لاَّ مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللّهِ إِلاَّ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

And to the three who were left behind, until the earth became strait to them notwithstanding its spaciousness and their souls were also straitened to them; and they knew it for certain that there was no refuge from Allah but in Him; then He turned to them (mercifully) that they might turn (to Him); surely Allah is the Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful.

Stress, a result of not abiding by religion

This "dark and narrow" life, or stress, to give it the current name, is the outcome of non-believers' failure to abide by the moral values imparted by faith. Today, doctors maintain that a calm and self-assure composure are essential for protection from the effects of stress. A calm and peaceful disposition is only possible by living according to the Qur'an. This has been discussed under Surah Anaam 6:125 and Surah Raad 13:28.

The wide-ranging research into the connection between religious belief and physical health carried out by Dr. Herbert Benson of the Harvard Medical Faculty has produced surprising conclusions in this area. Despite not being a believer himself, Dr. Benson has concluded that worship and belief in Allah have a more positive effect on human health than that observed in anything else. Benson states that he has concluded that no belief provides as much mental peace as belief in Allah. (Herbert Benson, and Mark Stark, Timeless Healing)

Surah Al A’araf (7:189) – Creation from one living being

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِيَسْكُنَ إِلَيْهَا فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّاهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلاً خَفِيفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِهِ فَلَمَّا أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَا اللّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ آتَيْتَنَا صَالِحاً لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ

He it is Who created you from a single being, and of the same (kind) did He make his mate, that he might incline to her; so when he covers her she bears a light burden, then moves about with it; but when it grows heavy, they both call upon Allah, their Lord: If Thou givest us a good one, we shall certainly be of the grateful ones.

Surah Al A’araf (7:185) – Signs in the Heavens and the Earth

أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُواْ فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَى أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Do they not consider the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever things Allah has created, and that may be their doom shall have drawn nigh; what announcement would they then believe in after this? [7-185]

Surah Al A’araf (7:179) – Heart Mind Interaction

وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لاَّ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لاَّ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا أُوْلَئِكَ كَالأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ

And certainly We have created for hell many of the jinn and the men; they have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear; they are as cattle, nay, they are in worse errors; these are the heedless ones. [7-179]

Heart Mind Interaction

Traditionally, the study of communication pathways between the "head" and heart has been approached from a rather one-sided perspective, with scientists focusing primarily on the heart's responses to the brain's commands. However, we have now learned that communication between the heart and brain is actually a dynamic, ongoing, two-way dialogue, with each organ continuously influencing the other's function. Research has shown that the heart communicates to the brain in four major ways: neurologically (through the transmission of nerve impulses), biochemically (via hormones and neurotransmitters), biophysically (through pressure waves) and energetically (through electromagnetic field interactions). Communication along all these conduits significantly affects the brain's activity. Moreover, our research shows that messages the heart sends the brain can also affect performance.

These newly discovered facts are already mentioned in the Holy Quran when it encourages us to think saying: "They have heart with which they do not understand"; indicating that hearts have some dynamic relation with thinking.

The heart communicates with the brain and body in four ways:

Neurological communication (nervous system)
Biophysical communication (pulse wave)
Biochemical communication (hormones)
Energetic communication (electromagnetic fields)

Many interesting scientific researches are going on in this field. It is becoming a separate subject now. Those people who had gone through heart transplants also experienced strange feelings and started adopting the habits of the person from whom they got the heart. Yasha Kresh, PhD, Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Medicine, Research Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery says:

"It turns out that the heart has its own 'brain' - an intrinsic nervous system. It's not clear what it does or if it's subservient to the higher brain. But it's clear that it is there, and I believe it has a mission because evolution does not allow things to remain without purpose. We think this internal nervous system helps to fine-tune and integrate the heart's diverse activity."

I urge the readers to read the interesting material on the subject and be amazed with the fact that how is it possible that something that accurate is mentioned in the Holy Quran many centuries back without any modern equipment.

Surah Al A’araf (7:130,134) – Destruction at Pharaoh’s time

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا آلَ فِرْعَونَ بِالسِّنِينَ وَنَقْصٍ مِّن الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

And certainly We overtook Firon's people with droughts and diminution of fruits that they may be mindful.

فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الطُّوفَانَ وَالْجَرَادَ وَالْقُمَّلَ وَالضَّفَادِعَ وَالدَّمَ آيَاتٍ مُّفَصَّلاَتٍ فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ

Therefore We sent upon them widespread death, and the locusts and the lice and the frog and the blood, clear signs; but they behaved haughtily and they were a guilty people. [7-133]

Destruction at Pharaoh's time

Pharaoh (Firaun) and his followers were caught in the afflictions sent down by Allah at the time of Prophet Musa. Allah calls those afflictions as 'clear signs'. Allah tested them with droughts, diminution of fruits, widespread death, locusts, lice, frog and blood.

Ancient Egyptian literature is characterized by a wide diversity of types and subject matter. It dates from the Old Kingdom (about 2575-2134 bc) into the Greco-Roman period (after 332 bc), and the works employ such literary devices as simile, metaphor, alliteration, and punning. The individual authors of several compositions dating from the Old Kingdom and the Middle Kingdom (2040-1640 bc) were revered in later periods. They came from the educated class of priests and upper-level government officials, and their audience was largely educated people like themselves.

This Islamic account of this period of this human history has been confirmed by the discovery in Egypt, in the early 19th century, of the Ipuwer papyruses dating back to the Middle Kingdom. After the discovery of this papyrus, it was sent to the Leiden Dutch Museum in 1909 and translated by A. H. Gardiner, a prominent scholar of ancient Egypt (See Allah's Miracles in the Quran by Harun Yahya Pg 288). In the papyrus were described such disasters in Egypt as famine, drought and the fleeing of the slaves from Egypt. Moreover, it appears that the writer of the papyrus, one Ipuwer, had actually witnessed these events. This is how the Ipuwer papyrus refers to these catastrophes described in the Qur'an:

Plague is throughout the land. Blood is everywhere.
(Admonitions of Ipuwer 2:5-6)

The river is blood. (Admonitions of Ipuwer 2:10)

Forsooth, that has perished which yesterday was seen. The land is left over to its weariness like the cutting of flax. (Admonitions of Ipuwer 5:12)

Lower Egypt weeps... The entire palace is without its revenues. To it belong (by right) wheat and barley, geese and fish.
(Admonitions of Ipuwer 10:3-6)

Forsooth, grain has perished on every side.
(Admonitions of Ipuwer 6:3)

Men shrink from tasting-human beings, and thirst after water.
(Admonitions of Ipuwer 2:10)

That is our water! That is our happiness! What shall we do in respect thereof? All is ruin!
(Admonitions of Ipuwer 3:10-13)

The towns are destroyed. Upper Egypt has become dry. (Admonitions of Ipuwer 2:11)

The residence is overturned in a minute. (Admonitions of Ipuwer 7:4)

We see that the description given in the Quran is in perfect conciliation with what is mentioned in the 'authentic' historical documents. It is not possible that the Prophet Muhammad SAW could have read those documents. He never travelled to Egypt and he was an illiterate. Who was telling the Prophet Muhammad incidents which took centuries before him: Allah.

These are announcements relating to the unseen which We reveal to you, you did not know them-- (neither) you nor your people-- before this. (Surah Hood 12:49)

Surah Al A’araf (7:74) – People of Thamud

وَاذْكُرُواْ إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاء مِن بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَبَوَّأَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورًا وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا فَاذْكُرُواْ آلاء اللّهِ وَلاَ تَعْثَوْا فِي الأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

And remember when He made you successors after Ad and settled you in the land-- you make mansions on its plains and hew out houses in the mountains-- remember therefore Allah's benefits and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.

People of Thamud

In this Ayat the incident of People of Thamud or People of Al Hijr is mentioned. Both these terms are used in the Holy Quran referring to the same nation (SEE Tafsir Ibn e Kathir Explanation of surah Al-Raad 15:80 3/139). Historical sources confirm that a people known as the Thamud existed many years ago. That being the case, the word "Thamud" may be the name of a people and al-Hijr one of the cities they founded. In fact, this is exactly what is suggested by the descriptions of the Greek geographer Pliny, who wrote that Thamud lived in places called Domotha and Hegra, the present-day city of Hijr. ((Encyclopedia of Islam: Dictionary of Islamic World, History, Geography, Ethnography, and Bibliography) Vol. 5/1, 475.)

The oldest known historical source to refer to Thamud is the Babylonian state records. They relate the details of the victory of King Sargon II of Babylon over that people in the 8th century B.C. Sargon defeated them in a war in Northern Arabia. The Greeks also mention this people and Aristotle, Ptolemy and Pliny refer to them as the Thamudaei" i.e. "Thamud (Phillip Hitti, A History of the Arabs). All trace of them vanished before the time of our Prophet Muhammad in around 400-600 but the Quran mentions them accurately. Today, one can see the finest examples of these peoples' stonework in the ancient city of Petra, in southwest Jordan. (For details see

Surah Al A’araf (7:57) – Water Cycle, Weight of Clouds

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالاً سُقْنَاهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَنزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاء فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ كَذَلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْموْتَى لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy, until, when they bring up a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds; thus shall We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful.

Water cycle

Water Cycle or Hydrologic Cycle is a series of movements of water above, on, and below the surface of the earth. The water cycle consists of four distinct stages: storage, evaporation, precipitation, and runoff. Water may be stored temporarily in the ground; in oceans, lakes, and rivers; and in ice caps and glaciers. It evaporates from the earth's surface, condenses in clouds, falls back to the earth as precipitation (rain or snow), and eventually either runs into the seas or reevaporates into the atmosphere. Almost all the water on the earth has passed through the water cycle countless times. Very little water has been created or lost over the past billion years. Bernard Palissy was the first man to describe the present day concept of 'water cycle' in 1580 (SEE Quran and Modern Science by Dr. Zakir naik pg 26).

Quran had discussed the water cycle many times and the description given in the Holy Quran perfectly matches the description given to us by modern science using modern tools and equipments.

Weight of Clouds

In the above Ayat It is mentioned that the rain clouds are very heavy ثقال. The weight of clouds can reach quite astonishing proportions. For example, a cumulonimbus cloud, commonly known as the thunder cloud, can contain up to 300,000 tons of water (Allah's Miracles in the Quran by Harun Yahya Pg 111). Quran also emphasizes on the weight of clouds in Surah Raad 13:12.

Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Six Day Creation

Clarification no 1

Quran mentions the six day creation at various places in the Holy Quran. The Arabic words used are ستة ايام which can be translated as six days or six epochs. The Arabic word ايام conveys both the meanings. Considering the fact that a 24 hours day depends upon the movement of sun, moon and the earth and those were not even created yet the right way to translate the Ayat as six epochs (periods) and not six days. Even if someone translates it as days then he should remember that those 'days' are not the 24 hour days but are the days in sight of Allah. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning
(Surah Hajj 22:47).

Clarification no 2

There are few ahadith (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)) which speak of some detail of creation. For instance:

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) took hold of my hands and said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and lie caused the animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (peace be upon him) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, i. e. between afternoon and night.

A non Muslim might argue that we Muslims say that the Quran speaks of the six period creation then why is this Hadith using the words Saturday, Sunday etc which are only used for a 24 hours day. A clarification is required that the description given in the above hadith is not of the six period creation mentioned in the Holy Quran. These happenings are after the six day creation, after the formation of universe and the earth. The above hadith mentions seven complete days and not the six days.

Clarification no 3

The description given in the bible in Genesis Chapter 1 is also of the creation after the creation of the universe and the earth. It is mentioned 'In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth' (Genesis 1:1) and the rest of the story is mentioned after that. This clarifies that the description mentioned ahead is the description after the creation of the earth and universe but amazingly the creation of sun and moon is mentioned afterwards which is unscientific. It also says that God did rest on the seventh day which is illogical, God doesn't require any rest.

That description of bible contains many errors. It is a mystery that can never be solved. Some Christians say that the days mentioned there are 24 hours some say those are long epochs. Which ever explanation we adopt, 24 hours or epochs, we can never solve all the 'problems' in these verses. I urge the readers to study Genesis Chapter 1 themselves.

Clarification no 4

At some places Quran has mentioned the simultaneous creation of the earth and the heavens but few people misunderstand it and say that Quran says that it created earth and then the heavens in two days which goes against the established scientific fact and the Quran when it says that it created the heavens and the earth in six days. The fact is that few people have mistranslated the Arabic wordثم which can have various meanings. In some places in the Quran it must be translated as 'moreover' or 'simultaneously'. If the word is correctly translated then those Ayaats would seem to tell that Allah created the Earth moreover he created the Heavens. See Surah Baqarah 2: 22 and Surah Fussilat 41:9-11.

Scientific interpretation of six day creation

What is the scientific interpretation of the six day creation? This is something still unknown to mankind. Why did Allah divide those events into six periods? This mystery is still unknown to mankind. We don't have any strong evidence to support it and also there is no evidence at all to refute it. There is some divine wisdom in Allah's classification of those events into six periods which will be might be revealed one day by the will of Allah.

Ayaats of Quran speaking of six day creation

Surah Aa'raf 7:54, Surah Younus 10:3, Surah Hood 11:7, Surah Furqan 25:59, Surah Sajdah 32:4, Surah Fussilat 41:9-11, Surah Qaaf 50:38, Surah Hadeed 57:4.

Spherical Shape of the Earth

This Ayat also draws our attention towards the spherical shape of the earth which was not known to man at that time. He throws the veil of night over the day;
which it pursues incessantly; these words refer to the spherical shape of the earth. The Arabic phrase يطلبه حثيثا means 'seeking the other in rapid succession' . Let us try to visualize what the Ayat is saying: he throws the veil of night over the day, seeking the other in rapid succession.

The day comes out every day from the same direction it came out from the previous day, and its sun moves to comes down in the same direction it came down at yesterday and also the darkness from the east and it depresses in the west, then this scene is repeated again and again.
Overlapping the night on the day so it hide it and makes the night as a sphere, and overlap the day on the night so it hide it and makes the day as a sphere. And so by making both of them rounded around each other we can see a spherical body rolling between both of them gathering them and making them rounded around each other. This body is the earth.

There are other Ayats in the Quran where spherical shape is described clearly. We'll discuss this topic there also. (See Surah Raad 13:3 and Surah Shams 91:6)

Divine Laws that govern the celestial bodies

Further more Allah says in the Ayat that all the celestial bodies are following the laws laid down by Allah. The billions of stars and galaxies in the universe move in perfect equilibrium in the paths set out for them. Stars, planets and satellites rotate not only around their own axes but also together with the systems of which they are an integral part. Sometimes, galaxies containing 200-300 billion stars move across each others' paths. Yet amazingly, no collisions take place that might damage the great order in the universe. This miracle is something over which all of us should reflect.

Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me anything forbidden for an eater to eat of except that it be what has died of itself, or blood poured forth, or flesh of swine-- for that surely is unclean-- or that which is a transgression, other than (the name of) Allah having been invoked on it; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.

Surah Al An’aam (6:141) – Trees, a sign of Allah

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَّعْرُوشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ كُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُواْ حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ وَلاَ تُسْرِفُواْ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ

And He it is Who produces gardens (of vine), trellised and untrellised, and palms and seed-produce of which the fruits are of various sorts, and olives and pomegranates, like and unlike; eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and pay the due of it on the day of its reaping, and do not act extravagantly; surely He does not love the extravagant.

Trees, a sign of Allah

It is Allah who made all the food and trees, a sign for us all. Surely there are countless blessings our creator. Trees grow throughout the world, from the extreme cold regions near the Arctic and the Antarctic to the hot tropical regions around the equator.

Perhaps the most important ecological function of trees is protecting the land against erosion, the wearing away of topsoil due to wind and water. The trunks and branches of trees provide protection from the wind, and tree roots help solidify soil in times of heavy rain. In addition, trees and forests store water reserves that act as buffers for the ecosystem during periods of drought. In many areas the removal of forests has resulted in costly floods and subsequent droughts. Trees and forests also provide habitat, protection, and food for many plant and animal species. In addition, they play an important role in global climate and atmosphere regulation—the leaves of trees absorb carbon dioxide in the air and produce oxygen that is necessary for life. Trees provide us with fruits which are a vital part of balanced diet.

Fruits are vital to humans. Many species of mammals, birds, and insects rely on fruit as an essential component of their diet. Fruits also play a critical role in dispersing seeds, increasing the likelihood that at least some will land in an environment favorable for germination, or sprouting, which helps to perpetuate the plant species. Birds, for example, help distribute seeds when they feed on berries. The seed within the berry passes through the bird's digestive tract and is deposited at a location where, if conditions are favorable, it will flourish. Most of the 250,000 known species of seed-producing plants have survived because their fruits serve as the vehicles that help spread seeds.

Surah Al An’aam (6:125) – High Altitude Pressure & Stress, a result of not following religion

فَمَن يُرِدِ اللّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلإِسْلاَمِ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَاء كَذَلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللّهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.

Therefore (for) whomsoever Allah intends that He would guide him aright, He expands his breast for Islam, and (for) whomsoever He intends that He should cause him to err, He makes his breast strait and narrow as though he were ascending upwards; thus does Allah lay uncleanness on those who do not believe.

High Altitude Pressure

Allah says that whoever he guides he expands his breast. This is a term used in Arabic for various meanings. In a nut shell a person whose breast has been expanded by Allah becomes open minded to accept the truth. On the contrary he who seeks the path of ignorance Allah makes his breast narrow as if he were ascending upwards.

Quran has bluntly mentioned the fact that a person experiences difficulty in breathing at heights. At the same time Quran is also telling us that more the height increases more difficulty is experienced by the person. These are facts that are known to every person nowadays after the advent of modern science but Quran mentions these facts miraculously many centuries before those were known to the man.

Human beings need oxygen and air pressure in order to live. Breathing is made possible by the oxygen in the atmosphere reaching the air sacs in our lungs. As elevation rises, however, atmospheric pressure goes down as the atmosphere becomes thinner. Therefore, the amount of oxygen entering the blood stream declines and it becomes harder to breathe. As the air sacs grow narrow and contract, we feel as if we cannot breathe.

If the amount of oxygen in the blood is less than the body needs, several symptoms emerge: extreme fatigue, headaches, dizziness, nausea, and loss of judgment. When a certain height is reached, it finally becomes impossible for a human being to breathe at all. This is why we need oxygen bottles and special clothing in order to survive at such elevations also we have oxygen equipment in airplanes.

Stress, a result of not following religion

Second important thing mentioned in the Ayat is that a person who follows the wrong path remains tensed. Numerous psychological researches have proved those people who do not believe in any God are more likely to fall ill. There are many psychological and medical surveys that have been carried out in the past years that potray this fact. Modern medicine is now tending towards the realization of this truth. Without going into the details of the subject I would like to summarize it as Patrick Glynn put it: "Scientific research in psychology over the past twenty-five years has demonstrated that religious belief is one of the most consistent correlates of overall mental health and happiness." (Glynn, God: The Evidence, The Reconciliation of Faith and Reason in a Postsecular World, 60-61)

Surah Al An’aam (6:99) – Green factory in plants : Chloroplasts

And He it is Who sends down water from the cloud, then We bring forth with it buds of all (plants), then We bring forth from it green (foliage) from which We produce grain piled up (in the ear); and of the palm-tree, of the sheaths of it, come forth clusters (of dates) within reach, and gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, alike and unlike; behold the fruit of it when it yields the fruit and the ripening of it; most surely there are signs in this for a people who believe. [6-99]

The green factory in plants

This Ayat of Quran tells us that there is a 'green' factory in the plants which produces grains. Green factories are built up by the plant at the beginning of its growth and are called by botanists "Chloroplasts" which contain the chlorophyll. Quran uses the term خضرا for these green factories. Chlorophyll absorbs the light necessary for photosynthesis.

Chloroplasts

An examination of leaves, stems, and other types of plant tissue reveals the presence of tiny green, spherical structures called chloroplasts, visible here in the cells of an onion root. Chloroplasts are essential to the process of photosynthesis, in which captured sunlight is combined with water and carbon dioxide in the presence of the chlorophyll molecule to produce oxygen and sugars that can be used by animals. Without the process of photosynthesis, the atmosphere would not contain enough oxygen to support animal life.

Creation from a single being نفس واحدة has been discussed in detail under Surah Nisa 4:1.

Resting Place and a Depository

مسقر (resting place) in this Ayat means the womb of the mother and مستودع (depository) means the back of the father. According to some other commentators resting place is the earth and depository is the time of death (See Tafsir Ibn e Kathir 2/127).

Stars, a Sign of Allah

Star, astronomically, is known as a massive shinning sphere of hot gas. About 5,000 stars can be seen with the naked eye, although not all of these stars are visible at any given time or from any given place. With a small telescope, hundreds of thousands of stars can be seen. The largest telescopes disclose millions of galaxies, which may each contain over 200 billion stars. Modern astronomers believe there are more than 1 x 10²² stars in the universe (this number is very large, a 1 followed by 22 zeros).

The color of stars—ranging from the deepest red through all intermediate shades of orange and yellow to an intense white-blue—depends directly on their temperature. One out of the countless blessings of Allah is stars who serve many purposes. The star most commonly known to us is the 'Sun'. Without the Sun life of on earth would have been impossible. Allah is drawing our attention to this gigantic blessing. A close look of all the different of energies that we are using on this planet earth we'll come to know that the sole source of them are stars (most important of them is of course the Sun).

North Star, a Natural Compass

Stars (especially North Star) have been used by people since the beginning of life on this planet for finding directions. North Star or Polestar is a conspicuous star in the northern hemisphere, located closest to the point toward which the axis of the Earth is directed, thus roughly marking the location of the north celestial pole. A polestar has been used by navigators throughout recorded history for charting navigation routes and is still used for determining true azimuth and astronomic latitude.

An important message conveyed by this Ayat is that the way stars help you in finding the right path at night if you ponder over this impeccable sign of Allah it would lead you to the 'right path' in the long run and help you distinguish between right and wrong.

Surah Al An’aam (6:96) – Night designed for rest, Spherical Shape of the Earth

فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ذٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ

He causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning; this is an arrangement of the Mighty, the Knowing.

Spherical Shape of the Earth

The term فالق الاصباح that is breaking the dawn in the Ayat points towards the spherical shape of the earth contrary to what was thought at the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW. There are other Ayats in the Quran where spherical shape is described explicitly. We'll discuss this topic there. (See Surah Shams 91:6)

Night 'designed' for rest

The second important thing mentioned in the Ayat is that Allah has made the night peaceful, in other words night is specially designed for sleep and rest. Modern Scientific discoveries uncover this secret.

Melatonin

First interesting thing is the discovery of hormone which makes one 'sleepy'. Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone that is released into the bloodstream during the hours of darkness. While scientists continue to study the function of melatonin in humans, they believe the hormone plays a role in the body's circadian rhythm. This rhythm regulates the physiological functions that occur in the body within a 24-hour period, such as sleep-wake cycles, fluctuations in body temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure.

Scientists theorize that because melatonin levels are low during the day and high at night, melatonin may instruct the body when it is day or night, enabling the body to adapt and meet the demands of its changing environment. Melatonin may also provide seasonal cues by, for instance, informing the body about the longer nights that occur in winter and the shorter nights in summer.

Other studies have found that melatonin levels in the body decline with age in humans, leading some researchers to speculate that melatonin acts as an antiaging hormone by alleviating some of the adverse effects of aging such as heart disease. (Turek, Fred W. "Melatonin." Microsoft Encarta 2007)

The hormone melatonin prepares the body for sleep by slowing down peoples' physical movements, making them sleepy and tired, and functioning as a natural tranquillizer that eases their minds. During sleep, heartbeat and respiration rhythms slow down and blood pressure falls. In the morning, the production of the hormones stops and the body is stimulated to awaken. Reduced Photosynthesis and perspiration in plants

Many activities that take place during the day slow down and rest during the night. In plants, for instance, perspiration in leaves and photosynthesis begin to rise when the Sun rises. In the afternoon, the situation is reversed. In other words, photosynthesis slows down and respiration increases since perspiration is accelerated as the temperature rises. At night time, as the temperature falls, perspiration slows down and the plant rests. Most plants would die if just one night failed to take place. From that point of view, night means rest and reinvigoration for plants, just as it does for human beings. ("Light, Temperature and Humidity," Texas Agricultural Extension Service)

Reduced Movement even at the molecular level

Another Interesting discovery is that movement even at the molecular level decreases at night. The radiation emitted by the Sun during the day activates the atoms and molecules in Earth's atmosphere and causes them to achieve higher energy levels. As darkness falls, the atoms and molecules fall to lower energy levels and start to give off radiation. ("Night-time on Venus", January 18, 2001)

Surah Al An’aam (6:95) – Food Cycle, Splitting of Seed and Grain

إِنَّ اللّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ذَلِكُمُ اللّهُ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ

Surely Allah causes the grain and the stone to germinate; He brings forth the living from the dead and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living; that is Allah! How are you then turned away?

It is Allah Who causeth the seed-grain and the date-stone to split and sprout. He causeth the living to issue from the dead, and He is the one to cause the dead to issue from the living. That is Allah: then how are ye deluded away from the truth?

Food Cycle

There are many Ayaats in the holy Quran in which bringing up living up from dead is mentioned with the germination of grains and stone (seed). This draws our attention is drawn to a food cycle. When a living thing dies, micro organisms quickly cause it to decompose. The dead body is thus divided up into organic molecules that mix with the soil and form the basic source of food for plants, animals, and, ultimately, humanity. Were it not for this nutritional cycle, life would not be possible.

Bacteria are responsible for meeting all living things' mineral and food needs. Plants and some animals, which remain almost dead (hibernation) throughout the winter, revive in the summer and meet all of their mineral and food requirements through the activities of bacteria during the winter. Throughout the winter, bacteria separate organic wastes (i.e., dead plants and animals) and turn them into minerals.

Thus, when living things reawaken in spring, they find food ready and waiting for them. Thanks to bacteria, a "spring cleaning" has been carried out in their environment and the necessary amount of food has been prepared for nature as it returns to life in the spring.

Splitting of the Seed and the Grain

This Ayat consists of a number of scientific facts and spiritual glimpses found in the Holy Quran that is not preceded by any other scientific book.

First of all, the verse differentiated between the grain حب and seed/stone نوى. Scientifically, the seed or the grain is considered a complete fruit like all kinds of grains, corn, wheat, barley. While the stone/seed is a part of the fruit like the date seed, peach, grapes and kidney beans. Quran differentiates between seed and grain before the development of modern botany.

Secondly, the verse drew a link between the process of the splitting of the grain and seed and the process of bringing out the dead from the living and the living from the dead. Carbohydrates, fats, proteins minerals, salts and water are stored in the seed and grain in a form of dead nutritious substances, when these substances move through the Plasma membrane of the grain and cells. The seed and grain changes to become a living cytoplasm and the cell of the rootlet and dycoteledon become alive.

It is an astonishing fact that Quran mentions these minute facts many centuries before it being discovered by the humans. The only conclusion that can be drawn from this verity is that Quran is the word of the creator himself.

Its miracles will never cease

Quran is a book full of miracles. In the above mentioned Ayat we see that it has been explained in two different ways. There are various Ayaats of the Quran which have several meanings. It is not necessary that we have to 'choose' the correct 'interpretation'. Both the interpretations can be 'totally' correct at the same time. This is the glory of the Holy Quran; as it is mentioned in the Prophetic saying quoted in Jami' Tirmidhi that 'its miracles will never end'.

Surah Al An’aam (6:73) – Scientific Evidence on Oneness of Allah

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ وَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّوَرِ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ

And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth with truth, and on the day He says: Be, it is. His word is the truth, and His is the kingdom on the day when the trumpet shall be blown; the Knower of the unseen and the seen; and He is the Wise, the Aware.

There are at least 64 Ayaats in which the Quran draws our attention towards the heavens and the earth. There are uncountable signs of Allah in the heavens and the earth. If one ponders over these signs he is sure to realize that there is some super natural being that created this universe, whose boundaries are still unknown to us. If one keeps on pondering than he'll realize that God is One.

Scientific Evidence on Oneness of Allah

Ibrahim B.Syed, PhD writes in his article 'Scientific evidence on oneness of Allah':

The concept of oneness is the strongest foundation of Islam that is the unity of God. We can convince non Muslims on this subject if we do this scientifically, rationally or logically. All matter is made of atoms. The simplest atom is the atom of Hydrogen which consists of a proton (+ positively charged) and an electron (- negatively charged) orbiting around the nucleus. 75% of matter in the universe consists of Hydrogen and the rest is made of Helium which is in the stars such as our sun where nuclear fusion (deuterium and tritium fuse to form Helium and Energy) takes place resulting in release of energy (heat and light).

The physicists have determined accurately the mass, charge, spin, etc of the proton and the electron. The diameter of the proton, the distance between the proton and the electron has also been precisely determined. The proton to electron mass ratio is 1837. That is one proton is equal to 1837 electrons. Why the ratio is 1837 and not 1500 or 2000? The answer will give you the existence of God.

When the hydrogen found on any planet in the solar system or in our sun is analyzed, we find it to be identical to that found on the earth. Our sun is one of the 200 billion stars in our Galaxy called the Milky Way Galaxy. The hydrogen in any star in the Milky Way Galaxy is identical to that found on earth. There are about 200 billion Galaxies in the Universe. The nearest Galaxy is the Andromeda Galaxy. The properties of Hydrogen in any Galaxy are identical to that found on Earth.

We all see that the physical laws governing the universe are the same every where. This proves that there is a 'single' creator and hence there is only one God who has created the whole universe in perfect equilibrium and with countless signs so that we ponder over them.

Surah Al An’aam (6:60) – Sleep, an experience by soul and a metaphor of death

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

And He it is Who takes your souls at night (in sleep), and He knows what you acquire in the day, then He raises you up therein that an appointed term may be fulfilled; then to Him is your return, then He will inform you of what you were doing.

It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.

Sleep is the state of natural rest observed in humans and throughout the animal kingdom, in all mammals and birds, and in many reptiles, amphibians, and fish. In humans, other mammals, and many other animals that have been studied such as fish, birds, ants, and fruit-flies regular sleep is necessary for survival.

Sleep a Virtual Experience by Soul

Sleep is nothing more than a state of 'virtual reality'. When we are sleeping to us the whole thing seems 'real'. We go on trips, meet new people, play games, get hurt, and feel happy or sad in dreams though we are lying in our bad 'peacefully'. Although the room in which we are is empty still we here voices. There is no TV screen in front of us, even our eyes are closed still we see many beautiful landscapes. This proves that these eyes and ears which are seeing and listening are not the material eyes. Allah takes away the soul and these virtual images are programmed by Him and the eyes which witness are the eyes of the soul and the ears which listen are the ears of the soul. Had it been your 'material' body you'd still be having the wounds on it you got in the dream.

Sleep, a metaphor of death

In the above Ayat Allah has mentioned the taking away of soul. The word used is one which is used for death. Sleep is thought to be the sister of death, because in both of these soul is taken away. In death the soul is taken away permanently and in sleep for a temporary period. Another difference is that in death along with soul, biological life is also taken away but in dream the biological life remains and the body systems keep on working. Quran uses the word death for sleep and in Bible there are many verses in which the word sleep is used for death. For instance:

"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt."
(Dan 12:2)

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. (Ps 90:5)

Another interesting verse in the Bible points to the activity of conscience (soul) at night.

I will praise the Lord, who advises me. My conscience warns me at night.
(PS 16:7)

Sleep, as a metaphor of death also proves conscious life after death. Those who deny the life after death should ponder how Allah raises them from 'death' every day. In the same way he'll raise them on the Day of Judgment.

Surah Al An’aam (6:38) – Societies among animals and birds

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الكِتَابِ مِن شَيْءٍ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ

And there is no animal that walks upon the earth nor a bird that flies with its two wings but (they are) genera like yourselves; We have not neglected anything in the Book, then to their Lord shall they be gathered.

Societies amongst Animals and Birds

As a result of modern-day animal and bird ecology study, we know that all animals and birds live in the form of separate societies. Lengthy and wide-ranging studies have shown that there is a rather systematic social order among animals.

Social Life of Honey Bees

Honey bees, for example, whose social life amazes scientists, build their nests in colonies in tree hollows or other covered areas. A bee colony consists of a queen, a few hundred males and 10-80,000 workers. As we have already mentioned, there is only one queen in every colony and her fundamental task is that of laying eggs. In addition, she secretes important substances which maintain the unity of the colony and allow the system within the hive to function. The males' only function is to fertilize the queen. All other functions such as building honey combs in the hive, gathering food, creating royal jelly, regulating the temperature of the hive, cleanliness and defense are carried out by the workers. There is order in every phase of life in the hive. All duties, from caring for the larvae to provision of the general needs of the hive, are performed without fail.

Social Life of Ants

Despite having the greatest numbers in the world, ants also exhibit an order which can serve as an example to human beings in many areas: technology, collective labour, military strategy, an advanced communications network, a hierarchical order, discipline and flawless town planning. Ants live in societies known as colonies and in such order amongst themselves that one could even say that they have a civilization similar to that of human beings.

As ants produce and store their food, they also watch over their young, defend the colony and wage war against their enemies. There are even colonies which engage in "sewing," "agriculture" and "animal rearing." These animals have a very powerful communications network amongst themselves. Their social organization and expertise are far superior to any other living thing.

Communal animals with ordered lives also operate together in the face of danger. For instance, when birds of prey such as hawks or owls enter the area, smaller birds surround these birds en masse. They then produce a special sound to draw other birds to the area. The aggressive behaviour displayed by small birds en masse generally drives birds of prey away. (Edward O. Wilson, Sociobiology: The New Synthesis)

A flock of birds flying together protects all its members in the same way. For instance, a flock of starlings flying together leave a wide distance between one another. When they see a hawk, however, they close the distance between them. They thus make it harder for the hawk to dive in amidst the flock. Even if the hawk does so, it will be acting to its own detriment. Its wings will be damaged and it will be unable to hunt.

Mammals also act in consort when there is an attack on the group. For example, zebras take their young into the middle of the herd when they flee from enemies. Dolphins also swim in groups and fight off their greatest enemy, sharks, as a group. (Russell Freedman, How Animals Defend Their Young, 66-69)

There are countless examples of and a great many details concerning the social lives of animals. These facts acquired about animals are the result of long years of research. As we have seen, the information about animals given in the Qur'an-as in all areas-shows that the book of Islam is indeed the word of Allah.

Surah Al An’aam (6:14) – Creation from Nothing

قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلاَ يُطْعَمُ قُلْ إِنِّيَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكَينَ

Say: Shall I take a guardian besides Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, and He feeds (others) and is not (Himself) fed. Say: I am commanded to be the first who submits himself, and you should not be of the polytheists.

Creation from Nothing

This Ayat tells us that Allah is فاطر (originator) of the heavens and the Earth. Other Ayaats of the Quran also use the word بديع for originator. Both these term refer to the creation out of nothing.

Word Analysis:

Hazrat Ibn e Abbas said that I came to know the exact meaning of فاطر from a Bedouin. He was fighting with one of his companion. They had some controversy over a well. The Bedouin said انا فطرتها meaning that I created it first. Hence, meaning of this Ayat becomes that Allah formed this universe out of nothing without any previous example
(Tafsir Ibn e Kathir 4/382, under the explanation of 35:1). This topic has been discussed in detail under Surah Baqarah 2:117.

Surah Al An’aam (6:2) – Creation from Clay (Mud)

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَى أَجَلاً وَأَجَلٌ مُّسمًّى عِندَهُ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ

He it is Who created you from clay, then He decreed a term; and there is a term named with Him; still you doubt

Creation from Clay

Word Analysis:

The Quran says that humans have been created from طين. Imam raghib says that it means the soil mixed in water, even if the effect of water has vanished from it, means even if it is quite dry still it'll be called طين .

Allah created the first human being out of clay and then the human race evolved by reproduction. These are two different phases of creation. When Quran mentions the creation from clay it is mentioning the first phase and when it mentions the creation from sperm then it is referring the reproduction phase. When Quran mentions creation from water it can refer to both sperm and mud. Water is a part of both phases of creation. In fact there are many different phases of creation and Quran has discussed them using various different 'accurate' terminologies. (Discussed in detail under Surah Ale Imran 3:59)

There are many places in which the Quran informs us of the creation from clay especially for the first human being i.e. Hazrat Adam. When your Lord said to the angels; surely I am going to create a mortal from dust (Surah Saad 38:71)

It is very accurate to mention creation from clay for all human beings because that is the starting point of all. We are in this world because of the 'process' which started from Hazrat Adam and he was created out of clay so in other words we are also created out of clay. From it (clay) We created you and into it We shall send you back and from it will We raise you a second time
(Surah Taha 20:55).

When the human body is examined today, it may be discovered that many elements present on the earth are also to be found in the body. Living tissues contain 95% carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulphur, with a total of 26 different elements (Kevin Griffin, "The Elemental Composition of Life). Once again the information revealed in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago confirms what modern science tells us today.

Surah Al An’aam (6:1) – Electromagnetic Spectrum and the ratio of visible light and darkness

All praise is due to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light; yet those who disbelieve set up equals with their Lord. [6-1]

Electromagnetic Spectrum and Visible Light

Light is a basic requirement of life. Without light one cannot see his surroundings. The waves that accompany light are made up of oscillating, or vibrating, electric and magnetic fields, which are force fields that surround charged particles and influence other charged particles in their vicinity. These waves are known as electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic spectrum refers to the entire range of frequencies or wavelengths of electromagnetic waves.
Light is traditionally referred to the range of frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to humans.

Electromagnetic Spectrum

The electromagnetic spectrum includes radio waves, microwaves, infrared light, visible light, ultraviolet light, x rays, and gamma rays. Visible light, which makes up only a tiny fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum, is the only electromagnetic radiation that humans can perceive with their eyes.

From the above figure it is pretty evident that the visible spectrum is only a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. A tiny fraction of frequencies from 1 Hz to 10²⁶Hz is what the human eye can perceive. Visible light spectrum has very high frequencies i.e. from 5 x 10¹⁴ to 7.5 x 10¹⁴Hz and their wavelength is from 400 nanometers to 700 nanometers. Each different frequency or wavelength of visible light causes our eye to see a slightly different color. The longest wavelength we can see is deep red at about 700 nm. The shortest wavelength humans can detect is deep blue or violet at about 400 nm.

Creating Darkness

Absence of light is normally termed as darkness but, in the light of the above information, to our naked eye darkness should be termed as the absence of electromagnetic waves in the visible light spectrum. So, when Quran mentions 'making of darkness' it is accurate in the sense that those electromagnetic waves which we cannot see are also 'made' but for us they are a part of 'darkness'. It is a striking fact that such accurate information exists in a 14 centuries old book.

Using the word Darkness in Plural form

Another interesting fact is that in this Ayat and in many other Ayaats Quran uses the word darkness as pluralظلمات and the word lightنور as singular. Quran uses the word ظلمات 23 times i.e. the plural form of darkness and it always uses the word نور i.e. the singular form of light. The singular of ظلمات is ظلمة. Imam Raaghib says that it means the absence of light. Remember Quran also uses the terms darkness and light analogous to guidance and ignorance. Even in those cases Quran uses darkness in plural form and light (guidance) in singular form because there are many paths that are wrong but the real true path is only one which Quran terms as the 'صراط مستقيم'. In this Ayat when Allah mentions the process of creation, He uses plural form for darkness and singular form for light pointing to the striking fact which modern science has only recently discovered.

As described above visible light spectrum is only a portion of the large 'variety' of frequencies ranging from 1 Hz to 10²⁶Hz. Visible light spectrum has ranges from 5 x 10¹⁴ to 7.5 x 10¹⁴Hz. Quran is very accurate in using the plural for darkness (frequencies other than the visible spectrum) because they have much greater range of frequencies. Hence, we can safely conclude that in Quranic terms used in this Ayat نور is the 'visible light spectrum' and ظلملت are X-Rays, gamma Rays, Ultraviolet rays etc.

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِيَ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food, a provision for you and for the travelers, and the game of the land is forbidden to you so long as you are on pilgrimage, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, to Whom you shall be gathered

Fish: A Valuable Nutrition

Many advances have been registered in the treatment of heart disease; experts in the field basically recommend that careful precautions be taken before such diseases ever arise. Experts also recommend one important foodstuff for the healthy functioning of the heart and the prevention of disease: fish.

The reason why fish is such an important source of nutrition is that it both provides substances necessary for the human body and also reduces the risk of various diseases. For example, it has been revealed that when fish-which acts as a shield in terms of health with the omega- 3 acid it contains-is consumed on a regular basis, it reduces the risk of heart disease and strengthens the immune system.

The fact that fish, the health benefits of which have only newly been scientifically registered, is an important nutritional source is revealed in the Qur'an. Almighty Allah makes the following references to seafood in the Qur'an: And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks
(Surah Nahl 16:14)

Furthermore, particular attention is drawn to fish in Surah Kahf (18:60-63) in which it is revealed that the Prophet Musa (as) set out on a long journey with his servant and that they took fish along with them to eat:

"But when they reached their meeting-place, they forgot their fish which quickly burrowed its way into the sea. When they had gone a distance further on, he said to his servant, "Bring us our morning meal. Truly this journey of ours has made us tired." He said, "Do you see what has happened? When we went to find shelter at the rock, I forgot the fish…"
(Surah Kahf 18:61-63)

Another point worth noting is that in Islam dead meat is 'prohibited' with the exception of sea food. This also tells us about the importance of sea food in Islam.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam that Sad al-Jari, the mawla of Umar ibn al-Khattab asked Abdullah ibn Umar about fish which had killed each other or which had died from severe cold . He said, "There is no harm in eating them.'' Sad said,' 'I then asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al As and he said the same."

(Al-Muwatta Volume no 25 Hadith no 10)

Also it should be noted that first food given to those who enter Paradise would be fish.

Allah's Apostle said, "The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring together the people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver."

When we examine the nutritional properties of fish, we encounter some very striking facts. Fish, given to us as a blessing by our Lord, are a perfect food, particularly in terms of protein, vitamin D and trace elements (certain elements found in minimal quantities in the body but which are still of great importance to it). Due to the minerals they contain-such as phosphorus, sulphur and vanadium-fish encourages growth and enables tissues to recover. Fish meat also assists in the formation of healthy teeth and gums, benefits the complexion, makes the hair healthier and contributes to the fight against bacterial infection. It also plays an important role in the prevention of heart attacks as it beautifully regulates the level of cholesterol in the blood. It helps the body to break down and use starch and fats, making it stronger and more energetic. On the other hand, it also influences the functioning of mental activities. In the event that the vitamin D and other minerals contained in fish are not consumed in sufficient quantities, disorders such as rickets (bone weakness), gum disease, goiter and hyperthyroid may all arise.

Benefits of Omega-3 in fish oil

In addition, modern science has also discovered that the omega-3 fatty acids in fish also occupy an important place in human health. These fats have even been described as essential fatty acids. There are two kinds of unsaturated fatty acid in fish oil which are particularly important for our health: EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). EPA and DHA are known as polyunsaturated fats and contain the important omega-3 fatty acids. Since the fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6 are not manufactured in the human body, they need to be taken in from the outside. There is a large body of evidence relating to the benefits to human health of fish oil, the actual benefit stemming from its omega-3 fatty acid content. Despite being present in vegetable oils, these omega-3 fatty acids are less effective in relation to human health. However, marine plankton is very effective at turning omega-3 into EPA and DHA. When fish eat plankton, their constitution becomes much richer in EPA and DHA. That, in turn, makes fish one of the richest sources of these vitally important fatty acids.

Surah Al Maida (5:90) – Prohibition of Alcohol

O you who believe! Intoxicants and games of chance and (sacrificing to) stones set up and (dividing by) arrows are only an uncleanness, the Shaitan's work; shun it therefore that you may be successful.

Surah Al Maida (5:87) – Prohibiting the Lawful

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تُحَرِّمُواْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَلاَ تَعْتَدُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ

O you who believe! do not forbid (yourselves) the good things which Allah has made lawful for you and do not exceed the limits; surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits.

Prohibiting what is Lawful

Allah is forbidding the believers from making things prohibited for themselves which Allah has made lawful.
Abstaining from a particular type of food in case of some diseases does not fall in this category. There are many golden sayings of Prophet (SAW) which lead us to conclude safely that 'prevention is better than cure'. Allah also says in the Quran, "and cast not yourselves to perdition with your own hands"
(Surah Baqarah 2:195). This particular verse also tells us that prohibiting something which Allah has made lawful is an act which exceeds the limits and whenever we exceed the limits we harm ourselves. It is a fact that there are certain questions which the vegetarians can never answer. One of those many questions is that there are geographical locations which are too cold for planting and harvesting vegetables there. What will the humans of those societies do if they become vegetarians? It would be too expensive too transport vegetables there and of course if vegetable is the only food meant to be eaten a genuine question is: what should have the Eskimos eaten when there was no transport facility in the past? So be not of those who exceed and follow what Allah says in the next ayat

وَكُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ حَلاَلاً طَيِّبًا وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِيَ أَنتُم بِهِ مُؤْمِنُونَ

And eat of the lawful and good (things) that Allah has given you, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, in Whom you believe. (Surah Maida 5:88)

Surah Al Maida (5:17) – Interstellar Space

Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely, Allah-- He is the Messiah, son of Marium. Say: Who then could control anything as against Allah when He wished to destroy the Messiah son of Marium and his mother and all those on the earth? And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them; He creates what He pleases; and Allah has power over all things

Interstellar Space

Text to consider in this Ayat is: وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا
And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. Interstellar space, expanse between stars was earlier thought to exist of vacuum. Before modern electromagnetic theory, early physicists postulated that an invisible luminiferous aether existed as a medium to carry light waves. Later on in the 20^th century the advent of deep photographic imaging allowed Edward Barnard to produce the first images of dark nebulae silhouetted against the background star field of the galaxy, while the first actual detection of cold diffuse matter in interstellar space was made by Johannes Hartmann in 1904 through the use of absorption line spectroscopy. The interstellar medium consists of an extremely dilute (by terrestrial standards) mixture of ions, atoms, molecules, larger dust grains, cosmic rays, and (galactic) magnetic fields. (Spitzer, L. (1978), Physical Processes in the Interstellar Medium).In our own galaxy, the Milky Way, we can see glowing gas and dark, obscuring dust between the galaxy's many visible stars. This gas and dust makes up interstellar matter. Galaxies differ in the density of interstellar matter that they contain. Spiral galaxies, such as the Milky Way, have much more interstellar matter than elliptical galaxies, which have almost none. About 3 percent of the mass of the Milky Way Galaxy is interstellar gas, and 1 percent is interstellar dust. Stars make up the rest of the ordinary matter in the galaxy. Dark matter—a material that does not reflect or emit light or other forms of electromagnetic radiation—also makes up some of the mass of the galaxy. Astronomers consider interstellar matter separately from intergalactic matter, or matter between galaxies.

Thorndike (1930) noted that "it could scarcely have been believed that the enormous gaps between the stars are completely void. Terrestrial auroras are not improbably excited by charged particles from the Sun emitted by the Sun. If the millions of other stars are also ejecting ions, as is undoubtedly true, no absolute vacuum can exist within the galaxy." (Thorndike, S. L. (1930), "Interstellar Matter", Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific )

Hydrogen gas makes up most of the interstellar matter, but essentially all of the chemical elements occur in interstellar matter. About 90 percent of the atoms in space are hydrogen, about 9 percent helium, and less than 1 percent consists of all the other chemical elements. The interstellar matter is so spread out that the space it occupies would be considered a vacuum in laboratories on Earth. (Source: Encarta Encyclopedia 2007)

Scientists state that first of all, a mass of hot gas increased in density. This mass later divided into smaller parts to form galactic matter and later still, the stars and planets. To put it another way, the Earth along with stars around it, are all parts which separated from a united body of gas. Some of these parts brought the suns and planets into being, thus leading to the emergence of the many Solar Systems and galaxies.

This fact is also mentioned in the Holy Quran. We will discuss in detail under that Ayat.

ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاء وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ اِئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ

Then He directed Himself to the heaven and it is a smoke, so He said to it and to the earth: Come both, willingly or unwillingly. They both said: We come willingly.

O you who believe! when you rise up to prayer, wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you are under an obligation to perform a total ablution, then wash (yourselves) and if you are sick or on a journey, or one of you come from the privy, or you have touched the women, and you cannot find water, betake yourselves to pure earth and wipe your faces and your hands therewith, Allah does not desire to put on you any difficulty, but He wishes to purify you and that He may complete His favor on you, so that you may be grateful.

Medical Benefits of Wudu

Wudu is the Islamic act of washing parts of the body using water. Muslims are required to perform Wudu in preparation for ritual prayers. As the Ayat indicates Wudu involves the following things

Washing hands up to the elbows
Washing face
Wiping the Head (and ear)
Washing the feet up to ankles

Wudu possesses two manifest benefits - the medical benefit and spiritual one.

Ablution before going to sleep

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) encouraged doing ablution before going to bed. This same ritual is also encouraged by Yoga experts who say that washing important motor and sensory organs such as the hands, arms, eyes, legs, mouth and genitals before sleep using cool water relaxes the body preparing it for a deep sleep.

Biological Active Spots (idea behind Chinese reflex therapy)

In an article titled "Muslims Rituals and their Effect on the Person's Health", Dr. Magomed Magomedov, assistant to the department of the Man's General Hygiene and Ecology in the Daghestan State Medical Academy, speaks about how ablution stimulates the biological rhythms of the body and specifically Biological Active Spots (BASes), very much like the idea behind Chinese reflexotherapy. Man's internal organs, in their turn, present a no less sophisticated bio-energetical whole; they all have indissoluble multi-channel bilateral connections with the skin, which hosts special spots, whose functions resemble those of buttons on "control" and " recharge boards" responsible for particular organs. These spots are called biologically active spots (BASes).

While pointing out to the similarities between ablution and the science of Chinese reflexology in his fascinating article, Dr. Magomedov also states the main different points. To become a doctor in reflexology, he says, one has to take a 15 to 20 year course of study, incomparable with the simple learning techniques of ablution.

In another comparison, reflexotherapy was primarily used to cure diseases and very rarely for prevention, while, as we shall see, ablution has many preventive benefits. There was also a negative side to reflexotherapy, he says, one that is not found in ablution; a patient was exposed to traumas since doctors used cauterization. (Cauterization is a medical term describing the burning of the body to remove or close a part of it.)

"The majority of the most powerful BASes are being washed during the Muslim ritual. It is not the doctor, who had studied for many years, who does it, but every Muslim by himself. Besides, praying five times a day obliges a Muslim to take the preventive measures against diseases beforehand."

According to Dr. Magomedov, Chinese medicine says that there are more than 700 BASes, and sixty-six of them have quick reflex therapy effects and are named the drastic (or aggression or antique or prime-elements) spots.

Out of these sixty-six spots, sixty-one of them are located in zones required for Wudu while the other five are located between the ankle and knee.

THE FACE: When the face is washed during Wudu, it "recharges" such organs as the intestines, stomach and bladder, in addition to having a positive effect on the nervous and reproductive systems, says Dr. Magomedov in his findings, adding that the BAS responsible for the osseous system, intestine, nervous system, lumbar area, stomach, pancreas, gall-bladder, thyroid gland, solar plexus and others are situated on the right leg, another area reached during Wudu.

THE LEGS: When a Muslim washes his left leg, the BAS responsible for the work of the pituitary gland is stimulated.This gland is located in the brain and regulates the functioning of the endocrine glands and controls growing.

THE EARS: In the ear's cochlea are hundreds of BASes that "harmonize the work of almost all organs, decrease high blood pressure and relieve tooth and throat pain."Ear ablution is considered Sunna (Prophetic tradition). Washing the ear helps in getting them free from wax accumulation, which may cause ear infections as well as affecting the inner ear, this eventually causes body imbalances.

Another aspect that Dr. Magomedov stresses on is that Prophetic tradition emphasized the importance of massaging and applying pressure during ablution, which is something that has a scientifically-grounded explanation.

Dr. Magomedov said that his studies were triggered by his solemn belief that the five-time-a-day Muslim prayers were bound to have not only an "indisputable spiritual effect" but were also bound to "have a purely physical healing effect as well."

Other Benefits of Wudu

Wudu protects the body from mycosis in the toes, skin infections and suppurations as well as pus accumulations. It also minimizes possibility of skin cancers, as it removes chemical substances from the skin before they accumulate thereon. That is why skin cancers are rare in Islamic countries. Also, massage of the different parts of the body, which is done in Wudu stimulates blood circulation and causes more blood to flow through the whole body, particularly to the brain and kidneys. Ablution also protects from tooth decays, eye infections, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, pelvic infections and other bacterial infections

Medical Philosophy behind 'Ghusl'

Besides ablution it is compulsory for a Muslim to perform ghusl (complete bath) after a seminal discharge, be it due to a seminal discharge or sexual intercourse. Someone might ask that: Why does Islam order a person to wash his entire body after seminal discharge whereas it is only a particular organ that becomes unclean.

Studies conducted by the scientists reveal that within the human body exist two vegetative nervous networks which control and regulate all the activities of the body. These two nervous networks - the Sympathetic nerves and the Para-sympathetic nerves - are spread out throughout the body and around all the internal and external systems and tracts. The function of the Sympathetic nerves is to accelerate and stimulate the activities of the various tracts of the body, whereas the Parasympathetic nerves function to decelerate and diminish them. In effect, one plays the role of the accelerator of an automobile while the other plays the role of the brakes; with a balanced functioning of these two sets of nerves, the systems of the body work in a balanced and normal manner.

At times certain occurrences in the body disrupt this balance and equilibrium - one of these being the issue of 'orgasm', which is usually contemporaneous with a seminal discharge.

In such cases, the Parasympathetic nerves (the decelerating nerves) tend to take a lead over the Sympathetic nerves and consequently disrupt the equilibrium, negatively.

It has also been established that amongst the things that could force the Sympathetic nerves into activity and re-establish the lost equilibrium is contact of water with the body, and since the effect of orgasm is noticeably felt on all parts of the body and the equilibrium existing between these two sets of nerves is disrupted all over the body, hence it has been ordered that after sexual intercourse or seminal discharge the entire body should be washed with water so that as a result of its regenerative effect, equilibrium is once again established between these two sets of nerves, all over the body.

In addition to the above, the obligation of the ghusl on seminal discharge (known as ghusl of janabat) is an Islamic compulsion for maintaining cleanliness of the body and observance of hygiene, throughout the life. This is because there are numerous individuals, who are neglectful of their cleanliness and hygiene, but this Islamic ruling forces them to wash themselves at regular intervals and keep themselves clean. And this is not specific to the people of the past eras, for even in our times there are numerous such individuals, who, for various reasons, tend to be neglectful of their cleanliness and hygiene.

Surah Al Maida (5:4) – Islamic Dietary System

They ask you as to what is allowed to them. Say: The good things are allowed to you, and what you have taught the beasts and birds of prey, training them to hunt-- you teach them of what Allah has taught you-- so eat of that which they catch for you and mention the name of Allah over it; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is swift in reckoning.

Islamic Dietary System

Allah tells us that he has made all the good things permitted for us. Islamic Dietary system is infallible. Allah has laid down the rules that are best for us. Other than the teachings given to us in the holy Quran there are many teachings that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught to us. If we examine those, then we find hidden secrets in them as well. What is good of us is permitted for us. What is harmful for us is made prohibited for us. We are told not to be excessive in drink (Surah Aa'raf 7:31). A workshop of thirty days in Ramadan is scheduled for us that have many medical benefits for us.

Forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and the strangled (animal) and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that killed by being smitten with the horn, and that which wild beasts have eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up (for idols) and that you divide by the arrows; that is a transgression. This day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear Me. This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Allah says in the next verse, "The good things are allowed to you" (Surah Maida 5:4), indicating that whatever is prohibited for us is harmful for us and this is what modern science is telling us now. First four points, of the above mentioned, have been discussed in detail earlier. See (Surah Baqarah 2:173).

The types mentioned after the first four actually fall under the above four.

Strangled Animal, Animal beaten to death, animal killed by being smitten by the horn, animals which wild beasts have eaten fall under two of the above: 1- It is Dead Meat 2-It is not killed the Islamic way. In all these we have the fear of improper flow of blood and hence all hormones and antibodies are retained in the blood, and all infective organisms including virus flourish in the blood media, therefore ingestion of such will be dangerous medically (as discussed earlier).

Animals sacrificed on stones set up for idols (altars) means those animals which have been killed for some one else beside Allah. They do not involve the Islamic method of sacrifice (zabeeha) and also they involve 'shirk' (polytheism). Shirk means to do something for anyone else besides Allah that is only worthy to be done for Allah.

Meat divided by casting lots is also declared forbidden in this verse. System of casting lots for the sake of division of money or food is prohibited in Islam, it involves unjust distribution of money in the society and it is one of the financial involves which in the long run make the poor more poor and the rich further rich. According to Tafseer Ibn e Kathir in this verse by casting lots Allah is mentioning the acts of the people of 'Quraish' who used to cast lots to take decisions and they thought that the results came from their false lords and hence to end all polytheist acts this is forbidden in Islam. In the end of the Ayat Allah says," whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful". If a person is compelled by hunger and doesn't find anything else to eat than in those circumstances even the prohibited becomes lawful for him. This is the mercy of Allah on mankind and very logical command which makes it vivid to us that the purpose of making the above mentioned things prohibited for us was the sole fact that they are harmful for us and when we don't find anything else to eat and we are dying because of hunger than Allah allows us to eat those things; taking a small risk to avoid a bigger risk.

Surah Al Maida (5:1) – Why Muslims eat non-vegetarian food

O you who believe! Fulfill the obligations. The cattle quadrupeds are allowed to you except that which is recited to you, not violating the prohibition against game when you are entering upon the performance of the pilgrimage; surely Allah orders what He desires.

Non Vegetarian food permitted to Muslims

When a vegetarian read this verse than he might get furious on the commandment of Allah that He is allowing the sacrifice and eating of cattle, hence it becomes important to clarify whether there is any harm in being a non vegetarian or not. There are many books written on the topic and many debates have taken place on the topic hence it is difficult to abridge all the arguments in a couple of pages. Allah says in the Quran, "The good things are allowed to you" (Surah Maida 5:4), indicating that whatever is permitted for us is beneficial for us in normal circumstances. Many vegetarians claim that 'Non vegetarian should be prohibited for human beings'. By the grace of Allah Almighty I'll try to answer their arguments in a nut shell here.

Allah says in another verse, "And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat"
(Surah Nahl 16:5)

You are what you eat

Allah says "The cattle quadrupeds are allowed to you except that which is recited to you", meaning that all cattle (four footed animals) are allowed to you except whose prohibition is told to you. Allah mentions the prohibited animals in the third verse of this Surah in detail. Islamic diet is the perfect diet for a human being, and the prohibition told to us is purely for our benefit (See Surah Baqarah 2:173).

Sayyidina Jabir (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger forbade on the day of Khaybar domestic asses, flesh of mules, every carnivorous beast with a fang and every bird with a talon (that hunt with their claws).

This clarification has been mentioned for those who think that "you are what you eat". As the French writer said

"Tell me what you eat and I will tell you what you are."

Anthelme Brillat-Savarin (1755 - 1826)

We Muslims eat animals that are peace loving and docile and those which are flesh eating animals are prohibited for us and hence we Muslims are peace loving and docile. Islam comes from the root word سلم meaning peace.

Who is a non Vegetarian

Vegetarians have written many books telling us the importance of plants for the development of a human body. Non-Vegetarian, by definition means -'A person who has food of animal origin'. It does not mean 'A person who does not have Vegetarian food. A more technical and a scientific word is, 'an Omnivorous diet'. Hence a non vegetarian benefits from food both of animal and plant origin.

Killing a Living Creature

The main argument of vegetarians is that by eating animals we are killing innocent living creatures. This argument might have been suitable in the past but now it carries no weight because modern science has told us that plants also have life. They also feel pain and hence killing a plant as much 'brutal' as killing any other living creature.

Set of teeth in a human body

Herbivorous animals, those who only have plants, have a flat set of teeth. Carnivorous animals, who only have animal flesh, have pointed teeth. Human beings, have got flat teeth, as well as pointed teeth. Hence by our structure, we are omnivorous; we are designed in such a way that we can have both plants and animals as food. Also we humans possess a digestive system which can digest both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

(As for) those who disbelieve in Our communications, We shall make them enter fire; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We will change them for other skins, that they may taste the chastisement; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise. [4-56]

Pain receptors in skin

This verse indicates that there is something in the skin which makes us feel pain. This is exactly what modern science tells us i.e. pain receptors are responsible for feeling pain. It was thought that the sense of feeling and pain was dependent only on the brain. Recent discoveries however prove that there are pain receptors present in the skin, without which a person would not be able to feel pain. When a doctor examines a patient suffering from burn injuries, he verifies the degree of burns by a pinprick. If the patient feels pain, the doctor is happy, because it indicates that the burns are superficial and the pain receptors are intact. On the other hand, if the patient does not feel any pain, it indicates that it is a deep burn and the pain receptors have been destroyed.

Prof. Tegatat Tejasen, Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, has spent a great amount of time on research of pain receptors. Initially he could not believe that the Qur'an mentioned this scientific fact 1,400 years ago. He later verified the translation of this particular Qur'anic verse. Prof. Tegatat Tejasen was so impressed by the scientific accuracy of the Quranic verse, that at the 8th Saudi Medical Conference held in Riyadh on the Scientific Signs of Qur'an and Sunnah, he proudly proclaimed in public: "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) is His Messenger."

The sensation of pain results from communication between nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord, and elsewhere in the body. When a person experiences an injury, such as a stubbed toe, specialized cells called nociceptors (another name for pain receptors) sense potential tissue damage (1) and send an electric signal, called an impulse, to the spinal cord via a sensory nerve (2). A specialized region of the spinal cord known as the dorsal horn (3) processes the pain signal, immediately sending another impulse back down the leg via a motor nerve (4). This causes the muscles in the leg to contract and pull the toe away from the source of injury (6). At the same time, the dorsal horn sends another impulse up the spinal cord to the brain. During this trip, the impulse travels between nerve cells. When the impulse reaches a nerve ending (7), the nerve releases chemical messengers, called neurotransmitters, which carry the message to the adjacent nerve. When the impulse reaches the brain (8), it is analyzed and processed as an unpleasant physical and emotional sensation.

Types of burns

The Ayat under discussion mentions the burning of the skin. The severity of a burn depends on its depth, its extent, and the age of the victim. Burns are classified by depth as first, second, and third degree. First-degree burns cause redness and pain (e.g., sunburn). Second-degree burns are marked by blisters (e.g., scald by hot liquid). In third-degree burns, both the epidermis and dermis (external and internal parts of the skin) are destroyed, and underlying tissue may also be damaged. Further burn in the skin would damage the pain receptors and hence the person would not feel pain.

Word Analysis:

Quran rightly mentions this 'extreme' stage for the change of skin. The Arabic word used is نضجت which indicates the burning to the extreme stage. Ibn e Faris says that its basic meaning includes burning something to the last stage.

Hence, not only the Quran told humans that sensation is due to the pain receptors of the skin, Quran also describes accurately the type of burn that kills the pain receptors.

Man is Created Weak

God created man in a most complete state and equipped him with superior characteristics. His superiority over all creatures - as shown by his distinctive intellectual skills of thought and comprehension, and his readiness to learn and develop cultures - is unquestionable.

Have you ever thought why it is that despite all these superior features man has such a fragile body, which is always vulnerable to external and internal threat? Why is it exposed to the attacks of microbes or bacteria, which are so tiny they are invisible to the naked eye? Why does he have to spend a certain part of each day keeping him clean? Why does he need bodily care? And why does he age in the course of time?

People assume that these needs are natural phenomena. Yet, being in need of care as a human serves a special purpose. Every detail of the needs of man is specially created. Allah's saying "man is created weak" is the manifest statement of this fact.

Man's infinite needs are created on purpose: to make him understand that he is a servant of God and that this world is a temporary residence for him.

Man has no influence whatsoever on the date and place of his birth. Likewise, he never knows where or how he will die. Moreover, all his efforts to eliminate the factors negatively affecting his life are vain and hopeless.

Man has indeed a fragile nature requiring a lot of care to survive. He is intrinsically unprotected against, and feeble in the face of, abrupt and unforeseeable incidents that occur in the world. Equally, he is exposed to unpredictable health risks, no matter whether he is a resident of a high civilization or of a remote, undeveloped mountain village. It is quite likely that at any moment man can develop an incurable or fatal disease. At any time, an accident may happen dealing unrecoverable harm to one's bodily strength or one's most enviable charms. Furthermore, this applies to all people: status, rank and race, etc., know of no exception to such an end. Both the life of a celebrity with millions of fans and that of a common shepherd may well be completely altered one day by an unexpected incident.

The human body is a weak organism of bones and flesh averaging 70-80 kilograms in weight. Only a frail skin protects it. No doubt, this sensitive skin can easily be hurt and bruised. It becomes cracked and dry when exposed to too much sunlight or wind. In order not to surrender to natural causes man always has to be on guard against the effects of the environment.

Although man is equipped with marvelous bodily systems, the "materials" - the flesh, muscles, bones, nervous tissue, cardiovascular system and fat - are prone to decay. If man were of a different material, rather than flesh and fat, a material that gave no access to external intruders such as microbes or bacteria, there would be no chance of becoming sick. However, flesh is the frailest 'substance': it becomes rotten and even worm-eaten when left at room temperature for some time.

As a constant reminder of God, man often feels the fundamental needs of his body. Exposed to cold weather, for instance, he runs health risks; his immune system gradually "collapses". On such an occasion, his body may fail to maintain the constant body temperature (37°C) that is fundamental to good health. His heart rate slows, the blood vessels contract, and arterial pressure increases. The body starts to shiver as a means of regaining heat. A lowered body temperature of 35°C accompanied by a depressed pulse and contracted blood-vessels in arms, legs and fingers signals a life-threatening condition. A person with a body temperature of 35°C suffers severely from disorientation and constantly falls asleep. Mental functions slow. A slight decrease in body temperature can cause such consequences, but even more exposure to cold weather, bringing body temperature below 33°C, causes loss of consciousness. At 24°C, the respiratory system fails to function. The brain is damaged at 20°C and finally the heart stops at 19°C bringing on the unavoidable end: death.

These are only very few examples. The purpose in providing these examples is to emphasize that, due to the inexorable factors endangering his being; man will always fail to find profound satisfaction in his way of living. We should avoid blind attachment to life and stop spending all this life running after dreams and, instead, we should always remember Allah and the real life, the Hereafter.

There is an eternal Paradise promised to man. In paradise, man will be entirely insulated from all the physical weaknesses and imperfections that surround him on earth. Everything he desires will be within easy reach. Furthermore, fatigue, thirst, exhaustion, hunger, and injury do not exist in paradise.

Surah An Nisa (4:1) – Creation from a Single Being

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالاً كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاء وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

O people! be careful of (your duty to) your Lord, Who created you from a single being and created its mate of the same (kind) and spread from these two, many men and women; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, by Whom you demand one of another (your rights), and (to) the ties of relationship; surely Allah ever watches over you.

Creation from a Single Being

This is another verse which is brought up by the followers of[4-1] Darwinism and they proclaim that this verse point to the creation of everything out of a single being as Darwinism claims. This is a false allegation on the Holy Quran. Here the holy Qur'an is mentioning a fact which is present in the Authentic Ahadith and also in the Bible. By نفس واحده Quran means Prophet Adam (Peace be on him). From his ribs his wife
Hawwa (Peace be on her) was created and from them the human race evolved.

Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Woman has been created from a rib and will in no way be straightened for you; so if you wish to benefit by her, benefit by her while crookedness remains in her. And if you attempt to straighten her, you will break her, and breaking her is divorcing her.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt (trouble) his neighbor. And I advise you to take care of the women, for they are created from a rib and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part; if you try to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked, so I urge you to take care of the women."

This Hadith is also quoted by Imam Ibn e Kathir in his Tafseer, Tafseer Ibn e Kathir under the commentary on the Ayat under discussion. The same view is present in Tafseer al Tabari. See Tafseer Ibn e Kathir Pg.659 Vol.1 and Tabari 519/7. Bible says the same thing in Genesis

"And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. "
( Genesis 2:21-22)

Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) mentioned the same thing in his famous last sermon of Pilgrimage and he emphasized the same thing which this Ayat of Quran is emphasizing. This is what we term as 'universal brotherhood'. We all are created from one being so we have some relation with one another. We share the same grand father at the lowest level so we should respect one another.

Surah Ale Imran (3:40,47,49) – Nature of Miracles

Miracles

There are many miracles mentioned in this Surah (Chapter). These verses contain the miraculous birth of Hazrat Yayha when his father Hazrat Zakariyah was in old age and his mother was barren. On this miraculous birth Hazrat Zakariyah says, "My Lord! When shall there be a son (born) to me and old age has already come upon me, and my wife is barren?" (Surah Ale Imran 3:40). Angel replies to him, "Verily, Allah does what he pleases". Hazrat Yahya is called John the Baptist in the Bible. This is a miracle from Allah. An even greater miracle of Allah is the miraculous birth of Hazrat Isa (Jesus) without a father. His mother Maryam (Mary) said to Allah on receiving his son," My Lord! When shall there be a son (born) to I me, and man has not touched me?" Reply was," Allah creates what He pleases; when He has decreed a matter, He only says to it, be, and it is ".

This is another miracle of Allah. Miraculous birth of Jesus Peace be upon him is also mentioned in the bible (Matthew 1:18-25). Modern science tells us, there are many species that are born without a male intervention like the male bee. Such a thing happens in many lower animals by the will of Allah and by the will of Allah it happened in higher level specie like a human being where the male intervention gap was filled by the 'command' of Allah that is why Hazrat Isa is termed as 'spirit from Allah' in the holy Qur'an and the 'kalima' of Allah. Further more miracles of Hazrat Isa are stated in Surah Ale Imran (3:49). Hazrat Isa says to the people ," I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I determine for you out of dust like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with Allah's permission and I heal the blind and the leprous, and bring the dead to life with Allah's permission and I inform you of what you should eat and what you should store in your houses; most surely there is a sign in this for you, if you are believers". Allah gives such miracles to his messengers so people can identify that they are the messengers of God. Miracles of Hazrat Isa and many other messengers have been mentioned in the Holy Quran as well as in the bible. People of Quraish demanded a miracle from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) even. People expect the messengers of Allah to be somewhat different. Like the non-believers of Makkah said

"And they say: What is the matter with this Messenger that he eats food and goes about in the markets; why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a Warner with him?"

(Surah Furqan 25:7)

Here the people of Makkah are demanding something supernatural, a miracle just to confirm that Hazrat Muhammad is a prophet.

Surah Ale Imran (3:190) – Signs in the Creation of the Heavens and the Earth

إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي الألْبَابِ

Most surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day there are signs for men who understand.

As a matter of fact, there are so many signs of Allah in the creation of heavens and earth that it is impossible to mention them in one single place. Many books can be written on the topic. As the science develops our knowledge will keep on increasing on this topic and we will get more and more astonished on the marvels of Allah.

Surah Ale Imran (3:59) – Quran rejects Darwinism

إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَى عِندَ اللّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ خَلَقَهُ مِن تُرَابٍ ثِمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Surely, the likeness of Isa is with Allah as the likeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, Be, and he was.

Introduction to Darwinism

The person, who originally put forward the theory of evolution, was an amateur English biologist by the name of Charles Robert Darwin. Darwin first published his ideas in a book entitled The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection in 1859. Darwin claimed in his book that all living beings had a common ancestor and that they evolved from one another by means of natural selection. Those that best adapted to the habitat transferred their traits to subsequent generations, and by accumulating over great epochs, these advantageous qualities transformed individuals into very different species from their ancestors. The human being was thus the most developed product of the mechanism of natural selection. In short, the origin of one species was another species.

Darwinism incompatible with Quran

Hazrat Adam Peace be upon him was the first person on the face of the earth. This is the concept of Quran as well as the concept of Bible. A vast Majority of the people on the earth believe that Hazrat Adam was the first man on the surface of the earth and this verse gives a little description of the creation of Hazrat Adam. Allah created him from dust and said to him be and it was. Hazrat Adam's creation is a more superior miracle. Hazrat Adam was created without mother or father. Allah created him directly and made his spirit with a mere command, Be, and it was. This verse of Quran goes against Darwinism.

Darwinism incompatible with Bible

As mentioned earlier Darwinism is not compatible with Islam. Darwinism is also against Christianity. Christian Fundamentalists and others who believe in the biblical story of creation choose to reject evolutionary theory because it contradicts the book of Genesis, which describes how God created the world and all its plant and animal life in six days. The creation from dust is also mentioned in the bible. "Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." (Book of Genesis Chapter no 2 Verse no 7)

Charles Darwin admits himself

Darwinism has lost its significance when we compare it with the modern science. Darwinism is based on mere hypothesis and has no proof from established science. Darwinism goes against logic, religion and established science. Charles Darwin wrote a letter to his friend Thomas Thomtan, in 1861 saying 'I do not believe in 'Natural Selection'. I do not believe in 'Theory of Evolution' because I do not have any proof. I only believe in it because it helps me in classification of Embryology, in Morphology, in rudimentary organs'.

Why is Darwinism illogical

According to the unscientific and irrational claim of the theory of evolution, the nothingness in the infinite universe gradually gave rise to humankind because of chance developments. According to this utterly unbelievable theory, first dust, then soil, stones, waters, mountains and oceans came spontaneously into being in this nothingness devoid of anything of the sort. Later, certain atoms in the mixtures of these came together by chance and brought into being such elements as calcium, phosphorus and carbon. Over millions of years these lifeless elements, completely lacking in intellect, memory, knowledge and consciousness, turned into human beings able to breathe, speak, think, rejoice and mourn, possessed of a soul and memory, with the intelligence, knowledge and consciousness necessary to invent things, and capable of writing libraries full of books. In other words, under the effects of coincidence over billions of years, accumulations of dust, soil and mud turned into human beings of flesh, blood and soul, capable of building extraordinary factories and producing the latest model of cars in them, of establishing space stations, of constructing palaces, and making marvels of art. To believe that stone and soil could one day turn into human beings as the result of chance is even more irrational and illogical than believing in fairy tales.

Just for a moment, look at the things around you. Is it possible to think that may be the wristwatch you are wearing came to existence by itself? Is it possible that the room you are sitting in came into existence on its own? If even a single pencil, a needle cannot come into existence by itself. How can the billions of types of creatures on the surface of the earth come into existence on their own? There are almost 200 million known species and surely, there are many more still awaiting to be identified. There are almost 25,000 recognized types of fishes and about 200-300 new are identified each year. The small insects we see everywhere; 1 million different species of insects have been identified so far. Did all those species come to existence own their own? Is not there a divine design behind it? Five years after the publication of Darwin's book, Louis

Pasteur announced his results after long studies and experiments, which disproved spontaneous generation, a cornerstone of Darwin's theory. In a lecture at the Sorbonne in 1864, Pasteur said; "Never will the doctrine of spontaneous generation recover from the mortal blow struck by this simple experiment."

An Impossible Event

The theory of evolution claims that the complex systems of the cell came into existence "by chance" under the conditions of the primordial earth. Actually, the probability of forming a cell by chance is about the same as that of producing a perfect copy of a book following an explosion in a printing house.

The English mathematician and astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle(1915-2001) made a similar comparison in an interview published in Nature magazine on November 12, 1981.Although an evolutionist himself, Hoyle stated that the chance that higher life forms might have emerged in this way is comparable to the chance that a tornado sweeping through a junk-yard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein ( "Hoyle on Evolution," Nature, vol. 294, November 12, 1981, p. 105). This means that it is not possible for the cell to have come into being by chance, and therefore it must definitely have been "created."

Other mathematical calculations show that the probability of what Darwinism claims comes out to be 'one' out of 10 to the power of 950. In mathematics an event which has a chance of 'one' out of 10 to the power of 50 is an impossible event so an event which is 10 to the power of 950 is totally out of question. Imagine tossing a coin 10 to the power 950 (i.e. 950 zeros after 1) times and amazingly every time head comes.

One more thing to be clarified here is that the above-mentioned probability is just for a average protein molecule coming by itself. There are many other complexities in a human body and all other species. When all those probabilities are multiplied, the numbers would be unimaginable. Why is Darwinism unscientific

When Charles Darwin presented the theory of Darwinism in 1859, it had no scientific proof on its back. Darwinism can never explain scientific discoveries in genetics and the immense amount of information stored in DNA. The complex structure of a human cell formed by a mere chance is something unscientific too. Scientists have tried to prove Darwinism from the fossil evidences but the truth is that no evidence is in favour of Darwinism. There are so many missing links and no transitional form has been discovered. If the species evolved like Darwinism claims then there should be much many transitional forms. Charles Darwin himself wrote in his book origin of species.

"Why, if species have descended from other species by fine gradations, do we not everywhere see innumerable transitional forms? Why is not all nature in confusion, instead of the species being, as we see them, well defined?… But, as by this theory innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?… But in the intermediate region, having intermediate conditions of life, why do we not now find closely-linking intermediate varieties? This difficulty for a long time quite confounded me."

Many renowned scientists spoke against Darwinism.

Fact of Creation

When we look closely into what Darwinism propagates, it all looks like an attempt to 'exclude' the hand of God from creation. Many scientists have been trying to bring some other theory instead of big bang that could explain the beginning of the earth because the only way to perceive big bang is that there is a divine hand behind it. Many theories were presented as a substitute for big bang but they lost their significance because there are so many solid proofs for big bang. In the similar fashion, Darwinism is an attempt to deny the 'fact of creation'.

These words can summarize what I wanted to say on Darwinism:

"The result of these cumulative efforts to investigate the cell – to investigate life at the molecular level – is a loud, clear, piercing cry of "design!" The result is so unambiguous and so significant that it must be ranked as one of the greatest achievements in the history of science. This triumph of science should evoke cries of "Eureka" from ten thousand throats.

But, no bottles have been uncorked, no hands clapped. Instead, a curious, embarrassed silence surrounds the stark complexity of the cell. When the subject comes up in public, feet start to shuffle, and breathing gets a bit labored. In private people are a bit more relaxed; many explicitly admit the obvious but then stare at the ground, shake their heads, and let it go like that. Why does the scientific community not greedily embrace its startling discovery? Why is the observation of design handled with intellectual gloves? The dilemma is that while one side of the elephant is labeled intelligent design, the other side must be labeled God."

These are the words of renowned scientist Michael J. Behe. (Michael J. Behe, Darwin's Black Box, New York: Free Press, 1996, pp. 232-233)

In short, theory of special creation is supported by logic, religion and modern science. Hence, it should be replaced instead
of Darwinism and Darwinism should be buried forever.

Creation from Dust

We have reached to a conclusion that First man on earth Hazrat Adam was created from Mud by Allah. Same thing we excerpted from bible and Quran both. Quran mentions two stages (or types) of creation. One of it is the creation of Adam and other is the creation of children of Adam. Adam was created from dust as this verse clearly states. He created him from dust, then said to him, Be, and he was.
At other places in the Quran mentions creation from

Water (21:30), (24:45), (25:54)

Semen (16:4) , (75:37)

These verses are actually referring to the second stage of creation or second type of creation; creation of off springs of Adam. If the two stages or two types are not taken into account, it can lead to great mistakes. Regarding water one thing to be clarified is that it has its part in both stages of creation. (SurahAl Anbiya 21:30). Allah created a very beautiful system. Allah laid the foundation of the creation himself 'at once' (not what Darwinism claims). Furthermore Allah gave humans a system by which they can reproduce themselves.

The two stages are clearly mentioned in the Quran in Surah Sajdah

الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ الْإِنسَانِ مِن طِينٍ
ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُ مِن سُلَالَةٍ مِّن مَّاءٍ مَّهِين

Who made good everything that He has created, and He began the creation of man from dust. Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation. (Surah Sajdah 32:7-8)

Further more it is mentioned in Surah Hajj

"O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies……" (Surah Hajj 22:5)

Same thing is mentioned in Surah Ghafir

He it is Who created you from dust, then from a small life germ, then from a clot, then He brings you forth as a child, then that you may attain your maturity, then that you may be old-- and of you there are some who are caused to die before-- and that you may reach an appointed term, and that you may understand. (Surah Ghafir 40:67)

Regarding creation from soil one more thing is to be clarified that at some places Quran addresses the children of Adam and mentions the creation from water for them.

And one of His signs is that He created you from dust (30:20). It is but natural that the real source of creation of all of us is dust. If Adam wasn't there we wouldn't have been present too. Hence we owe our existence to Adam and we owe our existence to the 'dust'.

Surah Ale Imran (3:27) – Life from death and vice versa, Geo-spherical Shape of the Earth

تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي الْنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الَمَيَّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَاء بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

Thou makest the night to pass into the day and Thou makest the day to pass into the night, and Thou bringest forth the living from the dead and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living, and Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou pleasest without measure

"Thou causest the night to gain on the day, and thou causest the day to gain on the night; Thou bringest the Living out of the dead, and Thou bringest the dead out of the Living; and Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou pleasest, without measure."

Yusuf Ali's Quran Translation

Thou causest the night to pass into the day, and Thou causest the day to pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead, and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou choosest, without stint.

Passing of Day into Night and vice verse

Many orientalists claim that the Quran presents a flat earth. This verse of Quran explicitly refutes the claim. Quran says," He makes the night pass in the day and the day pass into the night", that clearly means that earth is not flat. Had the earth been flat the days and night would have occurred in fraction of seconds but the day passes slowly into the night and the night passing slowly into the night indicating that earth is spherical in shape. It becomes further clear when we read (39:5):

خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْل عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ

He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth; He makes the night cover the day and makes the day overtake the night.

From the ancient times, people had been thinking that the earth is flat. Although as long as ago as 340 B.C. the Greek philosopher Aristotle in his book On the Heavens was able to put forward two good arguments that the earth was a round sphere rather than a flat one, still the common belief in the people was that the earth is flat. Later discoveries proved that the earth is round. Many religious scriptures of the word say that earth is flat but Quran gives the exact shape of the earth. It is mentioned in the Bible, "The devil took him (i.e. Jesus Christ, peace be upon him) to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the earth and its glory"(Mathew 4:8)

'The devil took him to a high mountain and showed him the glory of all the kingdoms of the world'
(Luke 4:5)

Even if we go to the tallest mountain of the world that is Mount Everest which is 8850 m high we cannot see the whole world. The other side of the world will still be invisible to us no matter what the height of the mountain unless if the earth is flat. Hence, the biblical earth is flat in nature.
If we deem it a miracle, then what was the need of taking Jesus Peace be Upon him on the highest mountain. Angel could have showed Jesus the whole world from the surface of earth even. There are many such scientific, logical and mathematical errors in the bible. The Jehovah's Witnesses, in their "AWAKE!" Magazine dated 8 September, 1957, carried this astonishing headline — "50000 ERRORS IN THE BIBLE?" but by the grace of ALLAH Almighty Quran is free from all errors.

Raising the dead from the living and vice versa

This had already been discussed under Surah Al Baqarah (2:164). Allah is the ultimate creator of this universe. Life on earth is only a preparation for the hereafter. The Real Life is actually the upcoming life. Allah gave us life when we were nothing. He formed us out from nothing. Allah will make us die again and will make us rise again on the Day of Judgment. Allah shows his signs to us in this universe. Allah can make non-living thing come out of living things and living things come out of nonliving things. Hen is a living thing, it gives out a non-living thing an 'egg', and from this non-living thing a living thing, a chick comes up. This one example fulfils this verse but the thing does not end here. There are many such examples in the universe. First man on the earth was Hazrat Adam. He was created from dust.

Surely, the likeness of Isa is with Allah as the likeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, Be, and he was. (Surah Ale Imran 3:59)

Dust is a non-living thing. Man came out from a non-living thing and one day every one has to die. We all will be only flesh and bones in the cemetery one day. Flesh and bones are dead. Once again from these dead things a lively human will come. He will be taken to Allah for the 'Result Day'.

Trees are living things, which come from nonliving seeds. Trees give fruits, which contain non-living seeds, and these non-living seeds one again give rise to living trees. Every seed knows which tree it has to give rise too. A Mango seed will never give rise to an apple tree. There are at least 235,500 types of trees. (Encarta) It is strange that every from the exact seed out of the 235,000 the same tree comes out. Some species of tree only grow to 4 m (13 ft) in height, but the tallest species may reach heights of more than 112 m (more than 367 ft). Each seed knows how high it has to go. This is what is termed as "intelligent design" in scientific terms.

Every human has a different figure
In this verse, a very important fact of the universe is mentioned. Think of as many shapes as you can. After 15, 20 shapes your mind will start thinking of the shapes identical to what you have already thought. But ALLAH's creation is so beautiful, he makes you the way he likes. No two people from the beginning of universe until now had identical figures. No two people have identical fingerprints. Fingerprints are used to recognize people by many detective and police organizations around the globe for this very reason. In addition, Holy Quran describes this fact in (75:4). Fingerprinting, method of identification using the impression made by the minute ridge formations or patterns found on the fingertips. No two persons have exactly the same arrangement of ridge patterns, and the patterns of any one individual remain unchanged through life. To obtain a set of fingerprints, the ends of the fingers are inked and then pressed or rolled one by one on some receiving surface. The first recorded use of fingerprints was by the ancient Assyrians and Chinese for the signing of legal documents. Probably the first modern study of fingerprints was made by the Czech physiologist Johannes Evengelista Purkinje, who in 1823 proposed a system of classification that attracted little attention. Miraculously, Holy Quran makes us ponder over the importance of finger prints 1400 years ago when it is revealed by ALLAH almighty. For more details see Surah Al Qiyamah (75:4).

And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! show me how Thou givest life to the dead, He said: What! and do you not believe? He said: Yes, but that my heart may be at ease. He said: Then take four of the birds, then train them to follow you, then place on every mountain a part of them, then call them, they will come to you flying; and know that Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Giving life to death
This is something also what established science cannot explain but it is also a miracle. This is something that ALLAH did when he wanted and ALLAH has control over all things. Surah Al Baqarah (2:259) – Skeletal System, Giving life to Dead

أَوْ كَالَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّىَ يُحْيِي هََذِهِ اللّهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا فَأَمَاتَهُ اللّهُ مِئَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتَ قَالَ لَبِثْتُ يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ قَالَ بَل لَّبِثْتَ مِئَةَ عَامٍ فَانظُرْ إِلَى طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمْ يَتَسَنَّهْ وَانظُرْ إِلَى حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجْعَلَكَ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَانظُرْ إِلَى العِظَامِ كَيْفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوهَا لَحْمًا فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ قَالَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Or the like of him (Uzair) who passed by a town, and it had fallen down upon its roofs; he said: When will Allah give it life after its death? So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him to life. He said: How long have you tarried? He said: I have tarried a day, or a part of a day. Said He: Nay! you have tarried a hundred years; then look at your food and drink-- years have not passed over it; and look at your ass; and that We may make you a sign to men, and look at the bones, how We set them together, then clothed them with flesh; so when it became clear to him, he said: I know that Allah has power over all things.

Death for 100 years is something against the normal science. It is a miracle. Every religion believes that GOD has power over all things. Therefore, it is very simple for GOD to make a person die for 100 hundred years and wake him up when he wants. Already been discussed under (Surah Baqarah 2:60)
Skeletal System
Another thing discussed in the verse is the importance of skeletal system in a human body. Allah is drawing our attention towards this 'complex' system of bones in our body that acts as a scaffold for the animal's body.

Surah Al Baqarah (2:233) – Advantages of Breastfeeding and the Divine Recommendation

وَالْوَالِدَاتُ يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلاَدَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنِ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ وَعلَى الْمَوْلُودِ لَهُ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ لاَ تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا لاَ تُضَآرَّ وَالِدَةٌ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلاَ مَوْلُودٌ لَّهُ بِوَلَدِهِ وَعَلَى الْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ فَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالاً عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن تَسْتَرْضِعُواْ أَوْلاَدَكُمْ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْتُم مَّآ آتَيْتُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

And the mothers should suckle their children for two whole years for him who desires to make complete the time of suckling; and their maintenance and their clothing must be-- borne by the father according to usage; no soul shall have imposed upon it a duty but to the extent of its capacity; neither shall a mother be made to suffer harm on account of her child, nor a father on account of his child, and a similar duty (devolves) on the (father's) heir, but if both desire weaning by mutual consent and counsel, there is no blame on them, and if you wish to engage a wet-nurse for your children, there is no blame on you so long as you pay what you promised for according to usage; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah and know that Allah sees what you do.

This is a Quranic command for the mothers to suckle (breastfeed) their children for a period of two years. The wisdom of breastfeeding the children has been instilled in the Muslims through this Qur'anic revelation. Those who followed this Qur'anic command raised mentally and physically healthy Muslim children. Breast-feeding has many advantages.
1-Advantages for the baby
2-Advantages for the mother

1-The advantages of breastfeeding for the baby:
(a) Nutritional Advantages
It has a high concentration of lactose (milk sugar). This is an excellent source of carbohydrates.
The proteins (largely whey proteins) are much more easily digested than the proteins in formula based on cow's milk.
Infants fed human milk tend to have stools that are less foul smelling and softer than those of infants who are fed cow's milk or soymilk based formula. This is due to the different bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract of infants who are solely breast fed. Constipation, defined as hard stools (not the absence of a daily stool), does not occur in healthy breast fed infants.
The composition of the milk of mothers who are breastfeeding varies during the time of the day and during the feeding. The hind milk (latter part of a breastfeeding) has a much higher fat content than milk produced during the beginning portion of the feeding.
The odor and/or taste of breast milk may change depending on the mother's diet. This may help infants get used to different tastes.
(b) Bonding and Psychosocial effects:
Bonding is the emotional tie from parent to infant. It begins during pregnancy and increases with birth. This attachment enables parents to make sacrifices for their infant.
Many women maintain that their breastfeeding experience was a very special time during their life and they valued this closeness to their infant.
If a woman is unable to breastfeed her infant she needs to be reassured that she will still be able to bond with her infant.
2- The advantages of breastfeeding for the mother:
(a) Economics:
In all countries of the world it is cheaper to breast feed a baby than to feed the baby formula. In the United States, one day's supply of a cow's milk based formula costs approximately $2.50. Women who are breastfeeding need about 500 extra kilocalories per day in their diet. This can be supplied by a peanut butter sandwich and 8 oz. of milk. In the developing world, actual formula costs are comparable to those in the United States, but the family's income may be only the equivalent of $200 US per month. Formula for one infant could thus require around 40% of the family income.
In a study from Scotland and the United States, infants who were exclusively breastfed for the first three months of life are estimated to save $330 to $475 in health care costs during the first year of life
(b) Uterine involution:
Breastfeeding causes the release of prolactin and oxytocin. Oxytocin is a hormone that causes uterine contractions. The release of oxytocin while breastfeeding speeds uterine involution. This may also cause cramps while breastfeeding in the postpartum period.

Let us see what the western scientists and various researches in the west say regarding breast feeding. These researches make the benefits ample clear. Many Christian missionaries and atheist try to convince the people that the Muslim's claim that the Quran has many scientific miracles is a fake. They say that it is the muslim scientist, doctors who present these scientific researches and facts and these are there 'own'. There is no truth in it. In fact, this claim of the Christian missionaries is a fake claim. Only not in this example but it in all cases we see that Quran presents those miracles which are part of established science. Here are a few researches and reports regarding breastfeeding :

"The Evidence in Favor of Breastfeeding There is no evidence that breastfeeding a child beyond infancy is harmful. Quite the opposite is true: breastfeeding benefits toddlers and young children, both nutritionally and psychologically. Breast milk remains a valuable source of protein, fat, calcium, and vitamins well beyond two years of age. (1) Immunities in breast milk become more concentrated as nurslings mature; (2) at the same time, the likelihood of allergies decreases. (3) Mothers who nurse past infancy derive benefits as well, including a decreased risk of breast and ovarian cancer the longer she continues nursing. (4) Breastfeeding is a warm and loving way to meet the needs of toddlers and young children. It not only perks them up and energizes them; it also soothes the frustrations, bumps and bruises, and daily stresses of early childhood. In addition, nursing past infancy helps little ones make a gradual transition to childhood. In fact, prolonged nursing is associated with better social adjustment. Breastfeeding past infancy is as old as humanity.

Breastfeeding seems to mellow out the aggressive tendencies of toddlers and restores balance into their behavior." – Dr William Sears, The Discipline Book, 1997

"…, it has been my challenge to the criminal justice system to find one murderer, rapist, or drug addict in any correctional facility in America who has been breastfed for 'two years and beyond', as recommended by the World Health Organization." – Dr James Prescott, 'Touch the Future', Spring 1997.

British Medical Journal
A research, published in The Lancet - a British Medical Journal (Vol. 357, of Feb. 10, 2001, pp. 413-419) suggests that babies fed infant formula grow up to have higher blood pressure than those given breast milk. The scientists found that the diastolic blood pressure reading- the lower number- was 3.2 points lower in the teens fed breast milk than in those given pre-term formula. The systolic reading - the higher number - was 2.7 points lower. An elevation in either reading is bad. Major American heart disease studies have found that if adults' diastolic blood pressure was lowered just two points, the prevalence of high blood pressure would drop by 17 percent, the risk of heart disease and heart attacks would drop by 15 percent. "The most likely thing is there is something in breast milk that protects," Lucas said. (Alan Lucas is a co-author of the article along with Atul Singhal and Tim J Cole). Studies in the 1990s have shown that breast milk is associated with improved intelligence quotient, and cognitive development. On the other hand early childhood anemia is associated with mild or moderate mental retardation.
Ideal Period for Suckling
From the above sources the benefits of Breast feeding become clear to us and this is why we Quran emphasizes on it. Also the period of suckling ordered by Allah is the ideal period. World Health Organization and UNISAF Organization performed many researches on infants, and got a result from these researches that the ideal period is two years, because, during the first two years, the infant needs urgently sterilized milk like mother's milk as his immunity system can't confront any probable disease before two years of his age.
Scientists discovered mother's milk contains immune substances counteraction to germs, knowing an embryo in the womb takes these immune substances during pregnancy, and then when he comes out, he is surrounded with many infectious factors so he needs additional immunity where he can't find but in mother's milk.
Health World Organization held a conference titled "Complementary feeding" in 2001 and the conclusion comes:
The first two years of the infant's life is a critical window during which the foundations for healthy growth and development are built. Infant and young child feeding is a core dimension of care in this period.
Also, in the conclusion of the conference, the ideal period for suckling is two years, because the infant needs urgently the immune bodies to develop his immunity system during this period, he can't find these bodies but in mothers milk.
Conclusion:-
From the above reports of "authentic" sources, we see that the modern science tells us that for the better nourishment of the baby and the mother, the baby should be breastfed from at least six months and up to 2 years and to derive the best benefit the baby should be fed for 2 years like the US Surgeon General has stated that it is a lucky baby who continues to nurse until age two.

Surah Al Baqarah (2:222) – Prohibiting Coitus during Menstruation

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُواْ النِّسَاء فِي الْمَحِيضِ وَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىَ يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللّهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

And they ask you about menstruation. Say: It is a discomfort; therefore keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean; then when they have cleansed themselves, go in to them as Allah has commanded you; surely Allah loves those who turn much (to Him), and He loves those who purify themselves.
Prohibiting Coitus during Menstruation
We Muslims believe and it's a proven fact that Christians and Jews changed the word of God (Bible) and put their own words into it. We find so many versions of the bible with all sorts of numerical, scientific and logical mistakes which can never be attributed to God. The Present Day bible, hence, itself proves that it is not what the God sent but the Jews and Christians changed it. Among many other things that the Jews and Christians 'forced' on themselves was their behavior with women during menstruation. They did not dine with them, nor did they live with them in their houses which were something very illogical to do (See Ezekiel 18:6).
Thabit narrated it from Anas: Among the Jews, when a woman menstruated, they did not dine with her, nor did they live with them in their houses; so the Companions of the Apostle (may peace be upon him) asked The Apostle (may peace be upon him), and Allah, the Exalted revealed:" And they ask you about menstruation; say it is a pollution, so keep away from woman during menstruation" to the end. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Do everything except intercourse.

Quran doesn't tell us to leave the women totally which is something illogical and impractical. Only thing that is prohibited is intercourse and that has its medical reasons as well. Dr Omer Al Asker explains those reasons in his article 'Islam Prohibits Coitus during Menstruation'.
Recent medical researches reveals some of the illnesses that may happen because of coitus during menstruation though many are still unknown; science is developing and new discoveries are found daily that is why our knowledge will always remain limited.
Coitus during the monthly period should be stopped because , if coitus done in this period , the bleeding resulting from menstruation will increase abundantly as the womb vessels at that time are swollen and liable to rupture and hence lose function , the possibility of further inflammations in the woman womb become high , moreover penis becomes liable to inflammation because of the ruptures that happens during touching and erection , coitus also during menstruation is disgusting to both man and women because of the bad smell of blood and man , as a result , may undergo impotence.
The same thing can be said when making coitus with the women in child's bed (confined) , no sexual joy is expected because of the dilation of the interior of vagina , moreover coitus in this case causes some pains because of the cramps of the womb that follow.
During the menstruation, pieces of the lining membrane are secreted with the blood. When microscopic test was made on the blood of menstruation, we found these pieces in addition to the red blood cells and the white blood cells. The womb, because of the secretion of some of its membrane , becomes sore like frayed skin , so the womb is liable to the sweeping bacteria conquer , it is scientifically known that blood is the best soil for bacteria to grow and multiply , the womb in this case will lost its ability to fight bacteria including the bacteria on the surface of the pines which will be so dangerous for the womb .
What worsens matters is that the resistibility of the vagina , during menstruation , become at the minimum degree because the amount of the acid that kills the bacteria becomes so little and the secretion is less acidic , if not alkaline …moreover the antiseptic matters in this case reach the minimum number .The membrane lining the internal tissue of the vagina which is normally composed of a number of layers will thin to the lowest standard , though composed of a good number of layers when the womb is ready for pregnancy .
Illness is not only confined to the womb and the fetus but it extends to harm many other organs inside the body; these can be condensed in the following points which show further harms:
1- The extension of the inflammation will surly lock the womb's tubes , this will affect cilia that help move the egg from the ovary to the womb , this may lead to sterility or pregnancy outside the womb which is so dangerous because it occurs in the narrow tube , in this case the fetus will keep growing and destroying the internal wall of this tube till it explodes , the consequences are so dangerous , bleeding will be in large quantity and the blood will be poured into the sides of the belly , the situation ,if not controlled in due time , death will follow .
2- Inflammation will extend to the urinary tract then the bladder then the ureter and it is known that urinary system diseases are fatal.
3- More microbes in the menstruation blood including the whites will be rife.
Dr Al-Bar elaborates on the subject saying that women , when in the monthly period , faces physical and psychological pains and coitus aggravate these pains , he recapitulates these pains as follows :
1-Menstruation brings pains that vary from woman to another, most women suffer pains in her back or at the bottom of her abdomen, sometimes these pains are so unbearable that medications and painkillers should be used and even seeing the doctor becomes a must.
2-Most women suffer depression and weariness especially in the beginning, moreover women become so moody and irritable and her mental state reaches its minimum.
3-In the beginning of menstruation some women suffer migraine, dizziness and vomiting.
4-The desire of having sex becomes so weak and even most women refrain from having sex and like to be in retirement and calmness and this is so natural and physical thing; sex organs, during this period are semi-diseased, so coitus during this period is not natural but rather harmful.
5- Though menstruation is physiological process, the monthly loss of blood and in large quantity causes a certain kind of anemia.
6- Endocrine glands are also affected during menstruation with the result that its important secretions becomes less and less during menstruation.
7- The body temperature decreases by one degree because the unbroken physical processes inside the body reaches it's minimum, so energy produced in the body decreases and also food assimilation decreases.
8- The loss of temperature resulting from the previous factors leads to the decrease in heartbeats and thus blood pressure becomes law and the result is dizziness weakness and laziness.
7- All of these diseases are not only confined to women but also men can be liable to certain diseases because man , during menstruation coitus , is liable to be infected with a lot of bacteria that cause inflammation in the urinary tract , blood is a good soil for the growth of many kinds of bacteria.
These bacteria, later, will be moved to the prostate and urinary bladder, the inflammation of the bladder, in short time, will be chronic because of the nature of the tiny tracts of the prostate; these tiny tracts are so many and interlaced and soon the whole of the urinary reproductive system will be infected so the infection is moved to ureter then to the kidney, the pain of the inflammation of the kidney is unbearable if becomes chronic as no suitable medication hitherto is found.
These microbes might be carried to the prostate, the seminal vesicles, seminal duct and epididmis and then the testes, the pains are much severer than the psychological pain resulting from sterility.
A research, forwarded to the sixth Saudi conference, says that coitus during menstruation may cause cervix cancer.
